We welcomed Mickey to RescueConnect from a NC shelter. He was surrendered to the shelter for no apparent reason as this boy is wonderful! Mickey is around 1 year old, 22lbs, neutered, heartworm negative, and UTD on all vaccines. He does well in a crate (after some short grumbling since he'd RATHER be with his people) and is house broken, good with small kids AND cats! He is a little intimidate by large dogs and could use some guidance on interactions with other dogs his size- - a family with some dog expierence to help him get settled would be ideal for this wonderful little guy!

Hi Friends! My name is Alvin! I have been through a lot in my life but i am so much better now. I am about 9 or 10 years old but boy do I still have some energy! I have had to slow things down a bit because I am going through heartworm treatment but that is going really well! i am housetrained, a lover of food, enjoy walks, wandering the back yard and get along with ever person or dog I meet. I like my cuddles and enjoy being with people. I have a sweet disposition and although there are no children in my foster home I would probably love them too. I know it's hard for an older dog to get adopted but I promise you I have more years left in me and am quite the spunky guy! So please consider giving me a chance!

We fostered her in Okinawa and brought her back with us. We always intended for her to be adopted by a loving family and now the time has come. She is great with kids and other dogs and does not have a mean bone in her body. She loves pets and cuddles and will be attached to your side. Preferred if you have another dog in the family as she loves company and you will find her sitting with them in the house too.
