Meet Lucy – A Resilient Soul Ready for Her Forever Home! 8 years old | 30 lbs | Dog-friendly | Amputee survivor Lucy came to RescueConnect Animal Rescue both emotionally and physically broken. She had suffered a severe leg injury that required amputation, but this brave little girl is healing beautifully and adjusting well to her new mobility. Initially shy—especially around men—Lucy is slowly blossoming in her loving foster home. With patience and kindness, she’s beginning to trust and seek out companionship. She does wonderfully with other dogs and would thrive with a confident, gentle canine friend to help her continue building confidence. Her experience with cats is unknown. Lucy prefers not to be crated and is currently working on housebreaking, which may be related to her mobility changes. A home where someone is around during the day would be ideal to support her continued progress. This sweet, soulful girl is looking for a calm, compassionate family who will give her the love and security she’s never known. Sunny is a very sweet busy girl! She is great with kids (previously lived with four boys and currently being fostered with 2 girls. Ages range from 5-12) and other dogs (currently in foster with many other dogs of various sizes), house and potty trained, crate trained and VERY eager to learn more. Sunny loves to snuggle with her people. She would love a person/family that knows how to lead the way for her and direct her energy in a positive way. Sunny’s previous people report that she is leash reactive and reactive to people coming into the home but we have not seen this behavior since she’s been back. She’s incredibly intelligent and I suspect she gave herself job of family body guard. Sunny’s only downside is she is a hard NO for cats. She stalks my cats with intent to catch and likely kill. Also, due to complaints of barking in her last apartment, we will not be adopting her out to apartment living. Sunny is vaccinated, spayed, and ready for her new home!
