Story
We love Lucy’s sweet personality, but we are a busy family. She needs more attention and exercise. She is crate-trained and unfortunately spends a lot of time in her crate. She loves long walks. She does not bark at all, and we think her previous owners hit her. She is the sweetest thing.

Story
Very sweet beagle, playful with a lot of energy, will sleep at your feet every night, the reason for rehoming is busy schedule, work twelve hour swing shifts and cannot give her the best home, she is great with kids and other dogs, she is okay with cats, will chase them but cause no harm, she loves to chase and play fetch, loves squeaky toys, would be a great dog for someone with a normal schedule

Story
Mabel is a good dog with some pretty rough anxiety issues. She is fine with dogs and is better when outside. She struggles with people indoors. She has never bit or snapped at anyone, but she just shakes with fear. She is much better outdoors but I live in an apartment complex and have a job that doesn’t allow me to take her outdoors enough. I think if she had another dog around she would thrive. I just cannot fulfill that or the outdoor space for her

Story
Lexie is a tricolored female Beagle mix that grew up in a tough part of town. Besides the elderly man that took her under his wing, the other neighborhood residents were not very kind to her. Lacking resources to properly care for them and fearing for their safety, he reached out to us for help. Fortunately, we were able to bring her into our rescue. At first, Lexie was understandably wary of volunteers. It has been a journey gaining her trust. With patience and love, our volunteers showed her not all people were bad and soon won her over. She has really blossomed during her time with us. Lexie is four years and weighs 20 pounds. She is a good fit for an adult or family with teenage children that are home most of the day. She takes comfort in knowing you are near. Lexie prefers a quiet calm home where she can putter around and relax with the family. Visitors should be few as she is wary of strangers. She doesn’t expect you to fuss over her but does enjoy a soft pat on the head. Lexie enjoys when you talk to her as you do things around the house. She does well on a set schedule and a routine gives her a sense of security. Another calm confident dog in the home would be a good companion for her. Outdoor rest breaks are limited at the shelter, so she may need more work to be fully housebroken. A home with a fenced-in backyard is a must. Lexie prefers exploring and running outdoors over going on walks. On sunny days, Lexie likes to sprawl out in the grass and catch a few rays. Shy sweet Lexie is searching for a family that will give her a wonderful life. We hope that will be with you!To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
Born December 4, 2023, these sweet pups came into our care just after Christmas. They are Beagle/Boxer mixes so we think they will likely be medium sized when full grown. They are little love bugs and love as much attention as our volunteers can give them. They would be good in a house with children and/or other animals. Come meet these sweet pups. London is a female pup that is white with brown spots. A home with a fenced yard would be ideal for this playful and active mix breed and would also allow him the confidence to succeed with his house training. To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved.
