While treats and food don’t excite her as much, she’s absolutely love-motivated and ready to shower her humans with affection. This girl is as sweet as her name, actually sweeter! She just wants to crawl in your lap and gently give you kisses. Although Cupcake is a bit fearful of the leash at first, she walks wonderfully and does not pull at all. She's a smart girl who already knows how to sit and shake. She is learning how much fun toys can be, especially squeaky ones, and loves to involve her person in her play time. She also enjoys the company of other dogs and is having a great time in playgroups. It warms our hearts to see her just enjoy being a dog. She could be the frosting on your life - come meet the delightful Cupcake!

Story
Meet Falafel! With her smushy face, happy wiggles, and big smile, she just may be the cutest thing on four legs. This little chickpea is shy at first, but once she falls for you, she will be your best friend and most loyal companion. Falafel is still gaining confidence in new situations, and will need a patient adopter and a quiet home while she settles in; a family with small children and assertive dogs would likely be overwhelming for her. While she was very unsure of herself at the shelter, Falafel has blossomed in her foster home, where she lives with two laid-back dogs who have given her space while as she settled in-- she would likely do well in a multi-dog home with dogs of a similar size and temperament, but would also be content to be an only dog. If you think this little sweetheart could be a match for you, contact HES to make an appointment to meet her!

Story
Meet Scout! Scout was found at a regular dumping ground. He was starting to get into some trouble just trying to find food and 1 of our fosters picked him up to keep him safe. He weighs 30 pounds and is estimated at 6 years old. We can tell he’s had a rough life and unfortunately he is heartworm positive. We have started him on Doxycycline and he will come with a year supply of Heartgard. Hopefully once the year supply of Heartgard is completed he will be heartworm negative. If not, he will continue Heartgard until he eventually will test negative. Scout is super nervous right now and he will need some time to learn that he is safe. We are going to do all we can to help him feel safe as soon as possible. He definitely will need a fence to keep him safe (hounds and their noses can get in trouble without fencing) and confident doggy friend to help him learn he will be ok. The adoption fee is $100 Which covers SOME of the cost of spay/neuter, shots, microchip, heartworm test, grooming (if needed), deworming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and supplies while in our care. The pet MUST be kept on heartworm prevention all of their life. To apply to adopt go to our website www.fureverfurkids.com *We do home checks (either in person or virtual) for each pet before approving an adoption.* The application is to be completed prior to meeting the pet(s) you are interested in adopting. If they are still on the page, they are still more than likely still available. Once a pet is adopted from our rescue, they MUST be returned to us, if you cannot keep them. If you plan on not keeping them their whole lives, please do not apply. Thank you for looking at our rescues in need of amazing homes!
