This 20lb beagle-mix sweetheart came to us a week ago flea-ridden, itchy, missing a lot of hair on her back end, with super dry, flaky skin. We scooped her up because she needed us. She saw our vet and started meds to help her heal — and she is already less itchy by the day. We suspect it's a bad case of flea allergy dermatitis from living with a heavy flea load and just constantly scratching. With good food, flea prevention, meds, and some TLC, her hair is already on its way back. What Cleo is like now that she feels safe: - 5 years of pure doll. Gentle, sweet, affectionate. - Professional couch lounger. If there's a sunny spot in the yard or a soft spot on the couch, she has claimed it. - Very cat-savvy — used to cats! - Dog testing still in progress but we think she'll be fine — she's so easygoing. - Loves being near her people. Just happy to be inside, loved, and not itching. Medical: Being treated for skin — medicated baths, skin support, flea prevention, good nutrition. Hair regrowth will take a few weeks but she is comfortable and improving daily. Awaiting spay, then she will be fully ready for her forever home. She will be spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and on flea prevention before adoption. She is Heartworm negative 💕 Ideal home: Someone who wants a mellow, loving companion. She doesn't need a lot of chaos — she needs a couch, a sunny yard, and a person who thinks a 20lb beagle who loves to loaf is perfect. Fenced yard preferred. Would be great for first-time dog owner, retired person, or family who wants a calm dog. Cleo went from itchy and overlooked to sweet and spoiled in one week.
