Kirby is heartworm positive but his slow kill treatment is included in his adoption fee. Kirby is crate trained and is working on house training. He also is dog friendly. Kirby is a pretty low energy kind of guy who loves everyone he meets. He enjoys taking walks, cuddling with his human and chewing on a good bone. Belly rubs are his favorite too! Story
Tuck is 5.5 years old. He's energetic, sweet, loves to cuddle up on the couch (with adults) or play fetch with a tennis ball, has the classic beagle howl when he hears a siren, and is just such a cutie. Issue - He can sometimes be sensitive/reactive to being touched or pulled abruptly from behind and can snap at you. It’s not frequent and pretty much totally avoidable as adults, but it is less so with young kids and feels too risky for us. We worked with an in-home trainer 2 years ago. Her take was he can sometimes be a grumpy old man, but he didn’t register as aggressive to her. Medical - He’s not a cheap dog. He has pretty intense skin allergies. It's generally well controlled with Appoquel, regular baths, HP food and an ear med. He’s been well taken care of and loved since we rescued him from a farm in Kentucky at 8 weeks old. He definitely comes with extra expense, but I think the right person/family might feel like he is just the greatest dog.
