Maggie is a 2-year-old Beagle mix with the softest heart and the gentlest soul. Affectionate, shy, and incredibly loving, Maggie is happiest when she’s close to the people she trusts. Whether she’s snuggled tightly beside you on the couch, riding along on a quiet car trip, or enjoying one of her favorite walks, Maggie’s love shines through in the sweetest ways. Her previous family shared that when they first brought Maggie home, she was nervous and scared, but once she felt safe, she became deeply devoted and full of love. She’s comforted by attention and simply wants to be near her person. Maggie is crate trained and finds peace and security in her black wire crate, especially during thunderstorms, often choosing to curl up there on her own for comfort. Maggie also loves running around the yard and was a star at learning the invisible fence. Food, cozy naps, walks, and quiet time with her favorite person make her happiest. Because Maggie is sensitive and protective of the people she loves, she would do best in a calm, quiet home without a lot of visitors or small children. Strangers can be overwhelming for her, and while she enjoys outings and adventures, she prefers not to be approached or petted by people she doesn’t know. Maggie feels things deeply and can get her feelings hurt easily, so she needs a patient adopter who understands shy dogs and will give her the time and reassurance she deserves. Underneath her timid nature is a dog who loves with her whole heart. Maggie isn’t looking for a perfect home — she’s looking for a safe one, where she can finally relax, feel understood, and spend her days close to the person she loves most.

Meet Emma! This sweet well adjusteud girl is ready to meet her forever family. Emma gets along well with other dogs and tolerates cats. She’s shy around new people, especially men, but if left alone, warms up quickly. Once past the introduction phase, she actually loves attention and will snuggle with you on the couch, even trying to sit on your lap! Because she’s an attention diva, she’ll do well as an only dog but doesnt have to be an only dog. So far, her only drawback is she doesn’t do well around young children. Their sudden movements make her nervous. Older kids, 10 and up should be OK. Emma is house and crate trained. She does well left on her own in the house, even for several hours or overnight. She walks well on leash, no pulling or lagging. Her energy level is medium to low. She enjoys laying on the deck watching for squirrels or bunnies. She’s a talker, and barks when excited or if she hears something, making her a good watch dog. Emma is spayed, up to date on vaccines.

Whether it's racing around the dog park, chasing a squeaky toy, or happily chewing on one of her favorite chew toys, this girl knows how to have fun. She's lived successfully with other dogs, enjoys car rides, and is perfectly content snoozing in her crate or stretched out on the couch after a day of adventures. She'll pull just a little on leash walks because she's excited to see the world, and we're told she has the adorable habit of carrying random household items around when she needs a little extra comfort. Pim has already had her heart broken once. Let's make sure her next trip home is forever. Come meet this sweet girl—you just might be the family she's been waiting for.
