Opie and his mom and siblings came to us when the puppies were 1 day old. They have grown up in the same foster home and are doing wonderful. Opie loves other dogs, no matter what size and has been around both big and small dogs. He has learned to use the doggie door to go in and out. He is working on house training but will need lots of time, love and patience to get all the way there. They love people of all sizes and love to get attention. They all love to play but also love to cuddle and get belly rubs. Amos would do wonderful with other playful dogs and a fenced in yard. He love children, so older children that are not toddlers would be best since he still like to jump and nibble. Opie is available with a pre-approved application and a scheduled meet and greet. Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
