Story
Rowdy is a little shy with new people. Shes great with all dogs she meets and would be best on a home with another dog to help her adjust. Rowdy is curious in new situations, but life up until recently, hasnt been kind to her..... so she will need time to get comfortable and then her true goofy nature will emerge! Like a butterfly, Rowdy is a much different pup than when she 1st came to us from the pound, with no hope of getting out :( UNTIL the rescue chick saw me and knew i was a diamond in the RUFF ;) Rowdy needs a patient home who will give her time to warm up, open up & trust. Older kids only would be best for her and a fully fenced yard is a must. Until she settles in she'll be an escape risk. An apartment would work for Rowdy as well. She is ready for her furever family!! Apply soon! Local adoption fee is $300(in TX)

Story
This is Colt. He is a sweet 5 year old beagle catahoula. He will be 6 years old in August! His shots are all up to date. We are looking for a new home for him because we are no longer able to give him the attention he needs. My husband works night shift and we have an infant at home. Colt is good with cats and small animals but not good with other dogs. He loves to run and play outdoors. He is great with kids, older kids. He needs a home where he will get a lot of love and attention. He is playful and adventurous. Loves to cuddle

Story
I'm Waldo, a 7-year-old Beagle mix who's ready for a second chapter! 🐾 I'm a petite guy at just over 22 pounds, and while I've got some wear and tear that comes with my years — including hearing loss and dental challenges — I've got plenty of love left to give. I'm not yet neutered, but I'm priced to move at just $50. If you're looking for a mellow companion who can brighten your days, come meet me and let's see if we're a match! 💕

Story
Duke is an amazing dog. He is a 3/4 pocket beagle 1/4 corgi mix that comes from a great farm family. His two sisters and one brother that we have are all wonderful dogs (they’re probably more like cousins as they are purebred pocket beagles). Due to his breed he’s a small version of a beagl so he’s a great smaller property dog. He loves to cuddle and be pet. He’s a very affectionate dog. He loves to be inside on your lap or at your feet but he also loves our fenced in back yard where he runs and plays. He’s shy of new people at first but once he gets to know someone, they’re part of his family. We really hate to give him up but he is not getting along with his siblings for some reason (nothing to crazy he just needs all the attention so tries to take it and we haven’t been able to train it out of him). He would be best in a home with no other pets but would love humans. He’s energetic so you have to be up for playing with him. He gets along great with kids and adults alike.

Story
Hi, I`m Calvin! I’m a handsome little Beagle/Australian Shepherd mix around 8 weeks old. I have a very unique coloring along my back and bright white boots to match. I’ll likely be a great medium size, around 35-40 pounds, just like my mom. I love snuggling up for cuddles and giving lots of kisses. I`m very friendly and love meeting new people; especially if they give me belly rubs and scratches! I’m currently using puppy pads inside and will be all new to house training. If you`re looking for a loving friend to share your life with, I promise to fill your days with joy and affection! Calvin has been microchipped and kept current on vaccines and monthly preventatives. His neuter is included with the adoption once he is old enough. Story
Meet Capri, a Beagle/English Springer Spaniel mix, around 2 years old and 36 pounds. Capri initially came into foster care with 6 tiny babies. She is now spayed and looked forward to enjoying her new child-free life. Capri is very friendly and gets so excited when meeting new people her whole body wiggles. Overall she is very mellow and makes a great supervisor for projects around the house. So long as she has a comfy dog bed to lay in she’s content to lay around and watch you work all afternoon. Capri is house and crate trained and has wonderful indoor manners. She doesn’t tear things up or chew on things she shouldn’t. She is definitely a hound, though, and will follow that nose everywhere, including any trash cans left unsupervised. Capri does wonderful with other dogs and is very patient with small rowdy dogs or large goofballs. She also doesn’t mind cats and is content to share their company. Capri would make a perfect addition to any family looking for a well-mannered and loving girl to complete their family! For anyone interested we do have DNA results available from one of her puppies. Capri has been spayed, microchipped, and kept current on vaccines and monthly preventatives. If you’re committed to adopting a rescue pup, please submit an application here: https://humanesocietyofwilkes.org/adopt/application For questions you can email julianshumate@gmail.com.
