Story
Bonded pair Junebug & Basil came into Rescue 12/26/24 after spending a month living outside in their fenced yard after their mom was taken away in an ambulance and hospitalized long term. This duo is completely devoted to their person and wants nothing more than to be by their side, getting petting, giving kisses, and endlessly wagging their tails. Junebug is the social butterfly of the two and does wonderfully in any type of setting such as walking busy streets, going into Coffee houses, sitting beside you at restaurants, or even participating in local races and obstacle course events. Basil is more about being on guard and letting you know when things are going on in the yard or passing by the house. They are the perfect pair completely taking care of you and whatever your needs are. Bonded pairs are like adopting one really great dog… they complement each other and keep each other secure and happy making your job as a dog owner so much easier. These girls walk wonderfully on a leash and love a daily walk. They do not pull. They currently live in a large foster home with many other dogs and they enjoy playing with the other dogs, but at the end of the day, they snuggle up with the Foster mom and sleep next to her. Bonded dogs are harder to get adopted… when everybody meets these two, they can’t believe they are still in Rescue, including the vet that does their exams. She said they would be the best Dogs for anybody to adopt. They are the perfect size at 35 pounds each and they love to go for car rides and just be part of whatever you do. Fenced yard required so they do not adventure around. If you would like a fun pair that make you feel like the most loved person ever, contact irondawgs13@gmail.com for adoption application
