Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. "My Home to Yours” “This is Ollie, beagle/hound mix, female. She is a sweet dog, very gentle and loving. She does great with other dogs, not sure about cats. She loves to take naps and play with toys. It would be great if she had a fenced in yard as she does like to explore with her nose. She loves to walk and lay in the sun.” We are told she is current with vaccinations. If this looks like a dog, you might be interested in meeting, please apply for Ollie by going to our website at www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org.   We have had numerous requests from citizens in our county to help them rehome their pets, but they are willing to keep them in the home until it happens, rather than bring them to the overflowing shelter at Campbell County Animal Control near Yellow Branch. We are listing those cats and dogs on our website as "My Home to Yours." We ask that interested adopters fill out the FOAC application, and we will pass it along to the family wanting to rehome. We cannot guarantee health, temperament, or behavior for these pets, as we have not met them. However, we are happy to act as a resource for issues that may arise. **For pets not spayed or neutered, we are happy to help set that up! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. When Scout came in as a stray, the  order of business was to curl up on his Kuranda bed for a much-needed nap, enjoy some canned food, and then decide to explore the shelter! He enjoyed visiting everyone in the kennel runs, checking to see if their kibble was different than his. He had hoped to go into the cat room, but was redirected so did not get that opportunity. He was guided easily back into his kennel run where he curled up on his bed once more. He would really like to be home, but since his family didn’t come for him, we do the next best thing and found him a foster situation. He loves being spoiled at Harmony Rescue as one of their foster dogs. We plan to have Scout neutered and have his teeth cleaned at the same time toward the end of this month.  PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at FOACinfo@gmail.com. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 10:56 am
