She does great with other dogs, not sure about cats. She loves to take naps and play with toys. It would be great if she had a fenced in yard as she does like to explore with her nose. She loves to walk and lay in the sun.” We are told she is current with vaccinations. We have had numerous requests from citizens in our county to help them rehome their pets, but they are willing to keep them in the home until it happens, rather than bring them to the overflowing shelter at Campbell County Animal Control near Yellow Branch. We are listing those cats and dogs on our website as "My Home to Yours." We ask that interested adopters fill out the FOAC application, and we will pass it along to the family wanting to rehome. We cannot guarantee health, temperament, or behavior for these pets, as we have not met them. Joey and his brother JC are the shyest and least social of all the dogs, and we are working hard to earn their trust. Here’s what one of our volunteers says about Joey: “I had to convince him to come out of the kennel to see me, and once he did, I had to then work with him and let him think that everything was his idea before he would cooperate with me.” Joey, is about 30 pounds. And he could be a beagle mix. These pictures make him look like a miniature St. Bernard! Because we have no clue what the family background was like for the dogs, other than ill care and neglect, we feel they would be better in a home where there are no young children running around.
