You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, my name is Piper. I was found as a stray and brought to the Olive Branch so my owner could find me. Sadly, nobody called looking for me. So, here I am in search of a new home. I am a very loving girl, who would make any one a wonderful companion. I play fetch, sit on command, and have pretty good leash manners. I would love to have an active home with someone who will take me for adventures like long walks and car rides. As much as I love to run and play, I do need a fenced yard.  I seem to get along well with other dogs, but I need to meet any other dog buddies you may have. I don't seem to mind cats either. I'm a very active girl, so older children would be better.  I have been spayed, combo tested (all negative), dewormed, vaccinated, and I'm up to date with my preventives. This sweet old girl was surrendered to the shelter after her owner has been in jal. The family watching her couldn't keep her forever so decided she needs to find a more stable home. We don't know much about MaryAnn but she is very sweet and on the older side. Gets along with other animals, is mostly housetrained, already spayed and up to date. She would love to find her new retirement home.

These two sweet beagles were picked up from their home. We were called about a structure fire and that there were dogs at the home. Sadly the fire happened a few days ago before anyone noticed. Momma B and Mocha were tied to their dog boxes out front but the rest had perished inside the house fire along with their owner. These girls are on hold in case family members come forward but if they do not, then they will be looking for a new forever home.

Baby Girl was removed from her home for neglect. We have know about these dogs for years and could never get anything done about it. Finally, we were able to get them removed. Baby Girl was living in an outdoor kennel with nothing but a plastic dog box for years. No food or water was present at the time. She was very skinny and cold as she had no straw in her box to stay warm. Baby Girl is a beagle mix around 5 years old. She is the sweetest little thing and wants all the love. She is working on her house training skills. Will be spayed before she can be adopted.

Jelly is an adorable 2-year old male Beagle who was brought to the HSOV on November 18, 2025 by a Good Samaritan who had found him on County Road 4 in the Waterford Ohio area. Jelly was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped. This handsome young man has a tricolor short smooth coat, a long tail, and a beautiful tan/white Beagle face with hopeful trusting eyes, a black button nose, and extra-large floppy ears. Jelly has the sweetest personality for which the Beagle breed is known for and so highly prized as a family pet. Jelly weighs 32 lbs. Happily for Jelly, a wonderful foster family offered him the hospitality of their home on November 20th so that he could enjoy a vacation over the Thanksgiving Holiday. They reported that Jelly (whom they gave him the cute name "Theo") was good with both small/large dogs and children .. And he also made friends with cats. Jelly LOVES toys and tends to collect them (smile). Jelly aka Theo was a perfect passenger in the family's car and did well on long car rides. Jelly returned to HSOV from his Thanksgiving vacation on December 3rd, and we're sure that he is still having sweet dreams of his awesome time with a real family in a nice home environment. These photos of Jelly were taken late in the afternoon on December 3rd when HSOV Volunteers Miley Kiggans and Braylee Buck spent time with him in the lobby and (much to Jelly's delight) showered him with attention and 'good boy' treats. Jelly was a joy to photograph while he turned on his Beagle charm and pranced around the lobby for a new adventure. Jelly loved jumping up on the sofa for a better view of several kitties in a nearby tower. Jelly will be neutered before being officially adopted. He could be fostered while awaiting that procedure with an approved HSOV foster/adoption application. Update: Jelly went home with a foster family on December 6, 2025 who plans to adopt him after he is neutered.
