Allow us to introduce you to COOKIE, a 3 year old mixed breed who came to our pound after being found on a local highway. COOKIE is the sweetest girl. Between her wonderful personality and her short legs, we think there may be some Beagle in the mix. COOKIE is quite the little lover. She is affectionate and the more love you give her, the more affectionate she becomes. Her biggest motivators are love and snacks (another reason we think there is a Beagle in there). When she has to go out, she whines. She's met a few kids and has been good with them. She doesn't seem to mind the other dogs at the pound. We don't know about cats. COOKIE has best friend potential because she's happy to do whatever you do. Want to go for a long walk? COOKIE is your girl. Want to nap all afternoon on the couch? COOKIE is your girl. Harrison County Dog Pound, 82900 Toot Rd. Cadiz, OH 43907 Hours: Monday-Friday 10am-4pm; Saturdays 9am-2pm; closed Sundays and holidays. Rudy is sweet beagle mix who is about 4 years old and weighs approximately 25 lbs. He gets along and plays great with the other foster dog in his foster home, but he does not always like to share and makes it clear. For that reason, he may do best as the only dog or with a dog savvy family if there is already another dog in the home Rudy loves to zip around the back yard at full speed when he plays! He also has a high prey drive and would love to chase every squirrel, rabbit or any other critter he comes across. There is a good chance he could catch them too. A secured fenced in yard is a must for this speed demon! When Rudy isn’t on the hunt, he is a complete cuddle bug and even likes to sit right on your lap. He is crate trained, walks like a total gentleman on a leash and likes going on walks and taking long naps. Cats…he would say yes please, but for all the wrong reasons! If you love your cat, Rudy is not the dog for you. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, my name is Piper. I was found as a stray and brought to the Olive Branch so my owner could find me. Sadly, nobody called looking for me. So, here I am in search of a new home. I am a very loving girl, who would make any one a wonderful companion. I play fetch, sit on command, and have pretty good leash manners. I would love to have an active home with someone who will take me for adventures like long walks and car rides. As much as I love to run and play, I do need a fenced yard.  I seem to get along well with other dogs, but I need to meet any other dog buddies you may have. I don't seem to mind cats either. I'm a very active girl, so older children would be better.  I have been spayed, combo tested (all negative), dewormed, vaccinated, and I'm up to date with my preventives. LuLu is so sweet. She is almost 3 years old. We got her from some people at a flea market when she was a pup. She loves treats, sweet potato and green apples and watermelon are her favorites. And any kind of meat you cook, of course. LuLu has never been aggressive and lives with 3 cats. She is a super sweet dog. LuLu needs a new home because we cant afford to keep her. She has been having problems with her ears. They are so itchy. The vet said ear infections, but LuLu will not let anyone near her ears. She hasn't gotten aggressive, but she will flail and will not hold still. I cant hold her down by myself to put medicine in. And frankly, she just needs someone who is capable. LuLu is my first dog, and will be my last. I realize now I dont have what it takes to be a dog mom. I love her, but she seriously deserves so much better. She's been on flea and heart guard meds monthly since we got her. Shots were up to date in October.
