Story
Meet Scooter! This handsome 1-year-old Beagle is looking for a patient adopter who will give him the time he needs to feel safe and loved. While he can be a little shy when meeting new people, especially men, once he trusts you, his sweet personality shines through. He'll happily follow you around the house, snuggle up for cuddles, and become your loyal best friend. Scooter loves being outdoors and enjoys walks, though his Beagle nose occasionally leads him on little sniffing adventures. He rides great in the car, is doing wonderfully with pottying outside, and gets along well with his two foster Beagle sisters. Once he's comfortable in his surroundings, he loves to play and have fun. Because he can be nervous around unfamiliar people, particularly men, he'll need a patient family that understands trust takes time. He may initially growl when a man enters the room, but with gentle, calm interactions and patience, he continues to make progress and will even accept pets when he's feeling comfortable. If you're willing to let this sweet boy move at his own pace, you'll be rewarded with a devoted companion who just wants a person to call his own.  can apply for this pup at: https://www.fetchfosterandrescue.com/adopt Name: Scooter D.O.B: 05/04/2025 Breed: Beagle Sex: Male Weight: 24.8 lbs Altered: Yes  Adoption Fee: 400 Good with kids: I'm not sure. PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org Hello there! My name is Kingston, and I'm on the hunt for my forever family. I was born on March 15, 2025, and I'm growing into a handsome young pup with a big heart and an even bigger love for life. My favorite thing in the whole world? WATER! If there's a pool, pond, creek, lake, sprinkler, or kiddie pool nearby, count me in. I'll be the first one splashing around and having the time of my life. When I'm not busy practicing my swimming skills, I'm making friends. I love people, enjoy meeting new dogs, and am always excited to be part of the fun. Whether we're going for a walk, exploring somewhere new, or hanging out in the backyard, I'm happiest when I'm with my favorite humans. I'm a social, friendly guy who greets life with a wagging tail and an adventurous spirit. I have the perfect combination of playful puppy energy and sweet companionship, making me an excellent sidekick for whatever adventures come our way. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who loves everyone he meets, never turns down a chance to play in the water, and is ready to make memories with you for years to come, I think we might be a perfect match. Come meet me! can't wait to make a splash in your life! Love, Kingston

Please note that this dog is currently located in TX and will be transported once adopted. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. Meet Your New Adventure Buddy! Born on March 15, I'm a Beagle/Blue Heeler mix with the perfect combination of brains, charm, and a zest for life! I'll grow into a medium-sized dog, making me the perfect size for all of life's adventures. If you're looking for a pup who's always smiling, always ready to play, and always happy to see you, you've found him! I have a happy-go-lucky personality that makes every day a little brighter. Whether we're hiking, exploring the backyard, splashing in the water (one of my favorite things!), or curling up after a fun day, I'm just happy to be by your side. I'm a smart boy who loves learning, and I'll thrive with a family that enjoys keeping my mind busy. Since I'm still a puppy, I'll be excited to learn all the things that make me the best companion I can be. I absolutely adore people and have so much love to give, but I'd be happiest in a home with another playful dog. Having a canine buddy to wrestle, chase, and share adventures with would make my tail wag nonstop! Story
We went on a road trip to Missouri last year and picked him up. He is 1 year old but his nose gets him in trouble! We don’t have an underground fence & we live in the country so he goes on adventures. He would be perfect for a family that has a fenced in yard!

Story
Because of their start in life, these dogs aren’t for everyone. They are currently quite skittish and find the big wide world a bit overwhelming. They desperately need a patient, predictable home environment and a person/family dedicated to helping them build confidence at their own pace. They are also not house-trained, so teaching them the ropes will take time, consistency, and a lot of positive reinforcement. It will be a commitment and a challenge, but watching a cautious young dog learn the `language of safety` and bloom into a confident companion is the most rewarding journey you can take. These resilient pups are ready to trade their cautious beginnings for a lifetime of trust and love with the right patient guide!

Story
Peter is a wonderful dog that was rescued from Ridgeland farms. He is obsessed with his stuffed toys and his favorite people here at HSWC! He gets happy zoomies out in the yard when he’s excited. One look into his eyes, and he’ll have your whole heart! Due to Peter’s unfortunate start on life, he is a bit skittish and nervous when it comes to new people and situations. He wasn’t given an opportunity to learn how to adapt to new things when he was young, so it can take him some time to warm up. But with lots of love and patience, he has come a long way and he has more room to grow. Peter keeps his kennel clean around here, so we suspect that in a home he will take to potty training well, as long as he has a predictable and consistent schedule. Peter would thrive in a patient, predictable home with a person/family dedicated to helping him build confidence at his pace. Peter will need someone who is willing to commit to teaching him how to be a dog. Seeing his progress around here has been incredibly heartwarming for staff and volunteers alike, and in a new home, seeing his growth would be even more rewarding. It will be a commitment and a challenge at times, but watching a cautious young dog learn the `language of safety` and bloom into a confident companion is the most rewarding journey you can take. This resilient pup is ready to trade his cautious beginnings for a lifetime of trust and love!
