Meet Daisy: Your Devoted 61lb Companion
Currently being fostered in Mount Albert, Ontario
4-Year-Old Old English Sheepdog | Professional Pal | Lake Enthusiast
If you’re looking for a dog who defines the word loyal, Daisy is ready to report for duty. This 65lb beauty is a true soulmate dog—happiest when she is exactly where you are, whether that’s at the end of a hiking trail or lounging on the couch.
The Daisy Highlights:
- House Manners: Perfectly housetrained, crate trained (although she doesn’t need to be crated), and non-destructive. She’s a dream guest!
- Adventure Ready: An elite car passenger who lives for road trips. She loves the car.
- Water Baby: If there’s a lake nearby, Daisy is the first one in the splash zone. She enjoys cottage days and time near the water.
- The "Summer Look": She is typically kept shaved for comfort and easy maintenance, but her classic OES charm shines through no matter her coat length.
Ideal Home Life:
Daisy is a smart, communicative girl who thrives on predictability. She previously lived with a toddler but found the fast movements and “tugging” of little ones overwhelming. She is not suited for homes with children. Daisy must be placed in an adult-only home with no small children. A calm, predictable environment is where she truly shines.
Although Daisy has lived with another dog before, her foster family has noticed that she can be territorial over her toys and personal belongings. Because of this, she will need to be the only dog in the home. As the queen of her castle, she truly thrives and can be the very best version of herself.
While she enjoys running and socializing with neighbourhood dogs outdoors, she prefers not to share her home turf or her humans.
Because she values her peace and personal space, she is looking for:
• A strictly adult-only sanctuary — no children
• A calm, stable environment where she can fully relax
• A home where she is the one and only dog
Training & Care:
On a leash, Daisy is a strong girl! She can pull when she spots a squirrel, a new friend, or just because she’s excited about going for a walk. She’s looking for a confident handler who can manage her strength and continue providing the structure and leash work she needs. As with all Sheepdogs, she’ll also need a family committed to regular professional grooming to keep her feeling her best.
The Bottom Line:
If you have a fully fenced yard, a spot on your couch, and a heart ready for a devoted, one-and-only companion in an adult-only home, Daisy might just be your perfect match
