He is friendly but he aloof and is a dog who may not want to snuggle in your lap, he is independant and likes to explore his environment, he would much rather focus on sniffing around then cuddle time. He will be a great companion for hiking and adventures! He does require a private consult or group class with his adoption. This handsome 3-year-old neutered Rottweiler is a resilient, thoughtful tripod who proves every day that having three legs doesn’t slow his heart or his willingness to learn. He knows his basics like sit and down, takes treats gently, and does best with clear verbal guidance from a confident, experienced dog owner who understands the Rottweiler breed. He’s looking for a calm, adult-only home that offers structure, routine, and moderate, monitored activity to support his physical needs, including daily leash walks and a securely fenced backyard. He thrives as the only dog in the home, and isn’t suited for off-leash parks while he continues working on recall, bonding, and dog-to-dog comfort. Thoughtful handling and resource management are important for him, as is a commitment to a food program that includes interactive feeders, hand-feeding, and positive trade-ups. To help him succeed long-term, adopters must be able to participate in a private behaviour training class. In the right home, this loyal, steady companion will reward dedication with deep connection and quiet strength. Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as she is not available to meet on site.**Juniper is a Patient Paw, please ask about their reduced adoption fee and the possibility of a sleepover!**Juniper is a sweet, energetic middle-aged German Shepherd looking for her forever family! She’s searching for a calm home where she can settle in and relax after going on fun new escapades with her people. Juniper is wonderful in the car and will happily lay down in the backseat while she waits for her next adventure! She enjoys getting out to sniff and explore, though she can pull on leash at times. She has lots of energy, loves to dig, and will happily chase a ball, though convincing her to give it back is part of the game! She also entertains herself well with her toys when it`s time to settle down. Juniper has lived successfully with cats and may do well with a feline friend again! She can be selective with other dogs and would be happiest as the only canine in the home. She adores butt scratches, greets new people with enthusiasm, and has been gentle and friendly with kids she’s met. She loves people of all sizes!Due to a history of itchy skin and potential allergies, Juniper will need a special hypoallergenic diet and medication to keep her feeling her best!Juniper is the perfect mix of energetic and snuggly and would make an amazing companion to any family.
