Story
Remember Athena? This sweet girl came to us as an emergency transfer after suffering from an intestinal blockage. She needed surgery, and at the time, we simply didn’t know what her recovery would look like. All we could do was give her the care she needed and hope for the best.Today, this incredible year-and-a-half-old girl is FULLY recovered, happy, playful, and ready for her forever home! 🥰Athena LOVES her toys, LOVES her food, and most of all, LOVES her people. She’s so affectionate, silly, full of personality, and just so happy to be part of the action. She also absolutely loves to be by her people and cuddle them. ❤️She’s still young, so she has some training left to do, but she already has a great foundation. She’s housetrained and does great in the home. She has been living with two smaller dogs in her foster home, and she’s been getting along great with them. She’d also do wonderfully with kids! She’s not nippy, isn’t food aggressive, and has such a happy, loving personality. As far as cats, we can’t say how she is with them, as she’s never met one before.Because of her intestinal surgery, Athena will need to remain on a special diet to support her digestive system, but otherwise, this girl is doing wonderfully and needs nothing more than to be loved!Athena is still in her loving foster home, and we would absolutely LOVE for her to go straight from foster to forever home without ever having to come to the shelter. Please speak to our front office for more information on adopting her.
