Story
Nico is a Malinois / Mastiff mix that is 8 years of age and around 65 pounds. He is impeccably trained with obedience and commands such as sit, stay, come, place and elevated commands such as "finish," and "peak," along with some basic scent work. He is extremely loyal to his "bonded" person and needs a savvy owner to build that mutual respect. This brindle breed mix is very intelligent and although he has lived with another dog in the past, we recommend his ideal environment be a home where he is an only pet to relax in his retirement years. He is a great companion for walks, lounging in the sunshine in a fenced yard and fulfilling the couch potato roll. He is at the age where he appreciates quieter surroundings. He enjoys human contact with his people. We would love to see him live out retirement days with a person who gives him attention, comfort, the luxury items of a comfy dog bed and lounging time in the backyard sunshine!

Story
Tilly is a 44-pound, 8 month old medium-sized, mixed breed terrier. We believe she may be mixed with some shepherd, husky, or even a carolina dog! Either way, Tilly is a gorgeous blonde pup who can't wait to steal your heart with her pointy ears. Tilly loves to sit in her favorite lawn chair out in the yard while she observes her surroundings. She would love a home where she can play a healthy game of tug of war. She considers herself a bit of a decorator and would love to pile up as many blankets as she possibly can to lay on! Along with her lovely ears and gorgeous color, Tilly comes with the ability to JUMP! While Tilly has not attempted any yard escapes with us, she could absolutely get over the standard 4 foot chain-link fence. Come meet Miss Tilly at the Humane Society of Oldham County today!

Meet Sarge, a 48-pound easy going pup who looks like a mix of several breeds. Possibly some Shepherd, Catahoula, and a touch of Terrier. Or is it Husky? We aren’t sure, but he has beautiful orange and black brindle and white markings. Sarge is about 8 months old. Sarge loves to spend his days trotting around the yard and taking naps under or on top of our agility equipment. He also loves sitting in the lawn chairs. Sarge would enjoy the company of another dog. He can get a little bit excitable and loves to speak his mind when other dogs are involved, but he regains his composure quickly. He would also offer just the right amount of fun and companionship as the only dog in a household. Upon meeting a new family this week, Sarge was sure to go around and greet everyone with his wiggles and happy face. While he needs a bit of polishing of his manners (such as learning not to jump up on people), he would be a great canine companion for a family with children. Don’t forget that with every adoption comes a transitional training lesson with our dog trainer Jim Kats, who can help you get on the right track with your new dog as soon as he or she arrives in your home!
