Name, age, breed: Heidi, 2yrs, Shepherd mixLikes: Being with her humans, going for walks, loves meeting peopleDislikes: Being aloneWhat would be the ideal home? A home that is ready to let Heidi settle in at her own pace! Although, she loves everyone, she does have separation anxiety so a home that can work with that is ideal. Would be suitable for a first time owner.Good with other cats? Unknown but possibleGood with dogs? Yes, with a slow proper introductionGood with children? Unknown but possibleTemperament: Sweet, friendly, anxious, lovableMotivators? TreatsAny commands? Sit, paw, down, leave it House trained? UnknownCrate trained? UnknownHow long will it take to settle into a new environment? 3-3-3 rule: First 3 days - Your dog may be overwhelmed and may hide, have a lack of appetite, or test boundaries. Give them space and time to adjust in a quiet room with their bed, food, water, and toys. 3 weeks - Your dog may start to settle in and their personality will emerge. You can expect behavior issues to arise, so set boundaries and expectations with positive reinforcement training. 3 months - Your dog should be comfortable and acclimated to your home. They should know their routine and expect meals and enrichment at specific times.Any special needs or traits an adopter should know? Story
Hi, I'm Piper! I agree with Gatlin and Khoya... strangers are scary and cannot be trusted!! I will take some time to warm up to my new family but once I get to know you I will love you furever! I'm very cuddly and LOVE pets and snuggles. The best way to get to my heart is through my stomach. I am a foodie and willing to taste test any new recipe - free of charge!! I also love crunching empty waterbottles, going for walks and playing fetch.  I am a smarty pants who is extremely obedient. I am especially proud of my downstay as well as my leash and muzzle skills.  DOB: 2021 Breed: CKC registered purebred Rotweiller,  Approx 80lbs
