PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 12/30/25 Still available! 11/14/25 Roxy, 18 to 24 months old, 50 lbs, vetted, spayed, monthly flea prevention and 12 month heartworm prevention. We do not know her breed, she is likely very mixed. This site makes us pick a breed, so we went with Kelpie mix bc that’s what my phone guessed she was! Roxy is a work in progress. She was found living in the woods, emaciated and covered in fleas and ticks. For the first few weeks, she was completely withdrawn. She had no interest in playing and didn't speak or bark. Roxy loves to play now and talks alot( I don't always know what she is saying, but I always answer her). Learning to leash walks and potty training are works in progress. Her past has caused food aggression ( she eats in her crate) and mild separation anxiety ( after a couple of hours in her crate, she wants out to be with people). Roxy's ideal home is a large yard for her to run and a patient devoted parent dedicated to helping her overcome her past and live a happy life. Roxy is located in Arkansas and can be adopted locally, or she can transport to the New England area if adopted there. If adopted in New England, her adopter will need to pick her up (or arrange for a trusted friend/family to pick him up) on a Saturday in PA, NY, or CT. Residents of other states may adopt as well, as long as they can meet our transporter along their route. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. This is Miss Katie ! She has recently lost her 'mom' that she's been with since she was a few weeks old. She's a sweet natured, purebred German Shepherd. She just turned 9 and she's healthy and playful! She loves going on long walks and chasing after her ball ( that's her favorite thing to do!!). She is very gentle and good with other dogs She's never seen a cat but I imagine she'd be fine. She's never shown any aggression to anyone or anything. She lets our dogs eat out of her bowl without an issue. She was very good with lots of different people coming over to care for her mom. She never jumped up on her mom and would bring her the ball and put it in her lap so she could play. She's a sweetheart that deserves a good home that can give her the love and affection that she deserves. She also comes with, and is trained on, the wireless pet safe system . She does great with it and stays within the radius that you put it on. She knows basic commands (treat motivated!), she is spayed and up-to-date on all of her shots. She loves the snow and sunshine too! The only thing she dislikes is fireworks. The loud noise scares her. Katie is located in Redfield, NY. Her foster is willing to bring her to meet potential adopters within a reasonable driving distance.
