Story
This sweet girl, her mom and 6 siblings got surrendered at a local kill shelter and she was just hours away from being euthanized. A lady with a kind heart rescued her and now she is safe with Funny Farm. She is such a sweet loving girl and at about 4 months old already weighs 25 pounds so we are thinking she will be large. She will be ready to travel to her forever home about Aug 17th if everything goes as planned. If you are searching for a puppy who will grow to be large, look no further. Please visit funnyfarmpets.org where you can read all about our TN based rescue and how the adoption and transport process works. If you are interested in adopting you will need to submit the application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog Her adoption fee will be $399 and if she has to be transported from TN, the transport fee is an additional $200 She will be fully vetted :)

Story
Soft, gentle, eager to please and affectionate, Volunteers at Molly’s Place use these words to describe my temperament. I’m Star, a 2 ½ year old Shepherd Mix gal weighing approx. 50# who wants to “Light up your Life” with love! The word “Star” means “Sprinkle or Adorn with or as if with Stars”. I’m a VERY CALM, Cool and a “Well Balances Behaved” girl that is initially shy with new people, but I do warm up and want to be loved on. Due to this shyness, I do need a 4 ft fenced to allow me time to adjust. Once connected, I’ll gaze at you with my soft dark eyes highlighted by a shiny black coat and tan accents. You will then be “MY STAR” and hope for the life I pray for! Good with ALL AGES of 2 leggeds folks, due to my initial skittishness, younger folks must be mature in manors, as quick actions make me afraid, NOT NASTY. Although already leash and crate savvy, I am very smart, but have not had an opportunity to learn basic house manors. With my Shepherd intelligence and your coaching this will come quick. Other “Shining” attributes are my love of toys, playful manors with other dogs and possibly cats. Yes, I am a “SOFT SOUL” with a BIG Heart who demonstrate tenderness and sensitivity.    Please meet me in this or any Galaxy. Just fallow the glimmer of hope I present, you will see the “Twinkle in my Eyes” and the Brightness of my Soul. “I’m Star” a girl who deserves a home filled with love, affection to allow my radiance to shine bright. Then you will thank “YOUR LUCKY STARS I’m YOURS”! To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. Adoptions fees include the following:    spay/neuter surgery,  microchip and registration,  age appropriate vaccinations,  initial dewormings,  Activyl for fleas,  tested for FeLV and FIV (cats only),  bubble bath prior to going home (dogs only) WE do not "HOLD" animals without an approved application and a non-refundable/non-transferable paid adoption fee.  Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis.  We can not send extra pictures.  WE do not ship, you must pick up the pet.  Kitties must be transported in a secure cat carrier.   Pooches require a "martingale" collar and a non-retractable leash. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rosie (previously Lucy) and her siblings were found in a bin along a country road in Alabama with their tails tied.  Mostly likely, the owner was trying to dock them from home :(  Unfortunately, we do believe that they have permanent damage to their tails, however, it does not bother them! They joined our rescue on February 11th and are now in search of their new forever homes!Rosie has now been with us for 4 months and we are still searching for the right home for her!  She is now 50 lbs and is going to be a large dog, but not huge.  There is a lot of german shepherd in her, but she may have some other breeds in her. What we have learned about Rosie is that she prefers a quieter household.  We had adopted her out, but the family had a business and entertained a lot and it just had Rosie very antsy and unsettled.  It was not the right fit and she was returned. She is timid when you meet her, but she does warm up and becomes a very loving and loyal pet!  She is crate trained and is only crated when no one is home.  At night time, she sleeps with her foster mom.  Rosie is also house trained and will go to the door when he has to go out.  She walks well on a leash and  rides okay in a car (she drools).  We have also found out that she LOVES the water!!Rosie's foster family has a older daughter and she is used to being around children.  She loves to lounge on the couch with her best furry friend, Daisy.  Her foster mom said she is not snuggly with her humans, but enjoys laying with the dogs.  Rosie definitely needs a home with another dog or more and ones that are her size or bigger as she loves to play!   Rosie is spayed, up to date on distemper/parvo and rabies vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.  The adoption fee is $450.If you are interested in Rosie, please submit an application on our website at https://worthytails.rescuegroups.org.  For any questions, please send an email to jessie.wilson@comcast.net.Thank you for your interest in a rescue pup!PA Dog License #4709 (Cumberland County)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 12, 2024, 12:18 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!UPDATE 3/5/2024:  Buddy is having some issues being 'stiff' but as long as you don't have stairs he does great.  He does guard his toys but if you do a trade with a snack he will give them up :)  Looking for a GS experienced ownerUPDATE:  Buddy is looking fantastic!!  He is a little 'stiff' in his old age but I told him its OK so am I!  He LOVES attention, he likes his toys and he is great with the dogs although I think he would be just as happy as an only dog he does fine with all the dogs here at the ranch :)I can only imagine how Buddy must have felt...  Like no one cared, defeated, ready to give up, a banquet for fleas and tics :(  It took us quite a while to get him back to health and still he deals with ear infections from repeated ones not being treated :(  No worries now big man you are loved and valued!Buddy you have your 2nd Chance and we are going to give you an amazing life!!REQUIRES FENCED YARD!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!September 11, 2024, 4:29 pm

Story
This is MACON! The handsomest 2 year old male who is a very striking breed of dog and dog. Seriously, we're not sure his breed but we know he'll be a larger pup and he's wonderful. Macon was found running down the middle of the highway in Macon County, was found by some kind souls who took him in. Macon loves other dogs and kids, but he has a bit too much energy for the good Samaritans that found him. He foster sister is a 13 year old Chi that Macon is very respectful to, but the Chi is a bit cantankerous and doesn't like to share. Macon knows his manners, caught on to the basics very quickly, he knows to sit, stay and other basic commands. He absolutely LOVES toys. His fosters say he could chase a tennis ball or frisbee forever (fetch level pro) but he does very well when let inside to cuddle on the couch too. Meet Ruby, an adorable collie/shepherd mix with the cutest brown goggles. Ruby is an all-or-nothing puppy—she’s either in full play mode or enjoying a nap. Incredibly smart, Ruby picks up on things quickly. She loves kids and would thrive in a home with other animals, as she doesn’t like to be left alone. If you’re looking for a playful and loving addition to your family, Ruby is the perfect match!
