This big beautiful girl cost someone $3500 2 years ago. A year ago she found herself abandoned and living on a chain a couple hundred feet behind the home she used to live inside of. The family she used to be a part of had moved away. Thankfully the property owner had been caring for her until he could find the perfect place for her. She is now safe and comfortable at the Funny Farm and back inside where it’s warm and she gets to play and have people love on her throughout the day. She is 62 pounds of pure love. She loves everyone she meets and is a little submissive. She loves other dogs of all sizes as well. She has a moderate prey drive so cats would probably not be a great idea although we are told she used to live with 2. She absolutely loves toys, especially this giant donut and she loves to go for rides. She does great off leash and has excellent recall. She is the typical Rottie and is a slob with her water and food and has no idea how big she is because she loves to sit in your lap. She knows sit but I believe from living on a chain for a year, she does jump a little but she corrects fairly easy. This girl has tons of potential in an experienced home. She needs lots of exercise and consistent training. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Jax is a great dog for someone who can give him a lot of attention and extra room to exercise. He is 3 years old and requires some leash training but knows common commands. Jax is very playful and loves to run, play fetch and chew on sticks! He’s very loving and protects his pack. Jax can definitely have his lazy days and will just lounge around the house with you as well! He does have allergy issues and does require medication daily but takes it well. He is a guard dog and does become reactive towards other dogs. He would fit best in a home with no other dogs and a lot of land to run, or someone who can exercise him daily, as well as someone who is familiar with his breed.

She would even happier in her very own home with a new family!Rosa is a strong girl who will need a physically capable adopter as she can pull pretty hard on leash. She has been reactive to other dogs and cats in her foster home so being an only child will set her up to be the most successful! We know there are so many great people out there how love rotties! PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. Do you need a friend to watch dog TikToks with? Mr. Carl Bones is your guy! He enjoys watching dog videos on TikTok. His favorites are Princess Poppy and Dozer’s World. This sweet, 6 mo old boxer mix was found as a stray, starving to death and in pitiful shape, when he was just a baby. It took a while to get him healthy enough to complete his vetting. He was severely anemic from fleas, ticks, and worms, so we had to handle that first, and get some weight on him, before he could be neutered. Thanks to a very kind and committed foster mama, he is now healthy, happy, well socialized, and fully vetted. Carl is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and he loves other dogs, cats, and chickens. He loves all humans, including kids. He is just a fabulous pup, and as a bonus, he has the cutest little under bite imaginable! We believe he is a Boxer mix but probably wont be as large as a full boxer. He is currently about 30 lbs at 6 months old, so he may top out at 40-50 lbs. From Carl’s foster mom: He always looks at me like he is waiting for me to talk to him. Willing to do anything I say. He knows sit and stay, down, shake. I usually do it in sign language to him because I am on the phone alot. He also knows the words morning snacks, daytime snacks and night time snacks. Mr Bones loves his snacks and loves to play. He is a medium-high energy pup. He plays great with the other dogs in the house and thinks he is the same size as the other dogs that are easily 2-3 times his size. He does seem to be teething but has not been chewing anything but dog toys. Don’t miss out on this beautiful, well behaved, sweet boy! Hi, my name is Diego, and I am a 4 year old boxer/pit mix that loves to run and play. I have never been on a leash, as my mom has just let me run around the backyard. I love to play with small kids. (They have lots of fun and energy). . I remember we used to run around the house and play. Which was annoying to mom, but fun for us. We had a lot of good laughs. I like riding in the car . I like watching all the cars pass by. I don`t bark at them because I know to use my inside voice. I am also good with most dogs. I am kennel trained and house trained. When I need to use the bathroom, I will nudge the handle to the back door to let my mom know I need to go outside. I am also treat motivated. I love to play tug-a-war with a rope. I love stuffed animals, too. I have lots of energy, so the more toys and play time the better. When my mom sits on the floor to play. I have tried to sit in her lap, but she says no because I am too big. So, I enjoy snuggling next to her.I live in Houston, Tx, but can transport to you, they said for $300. I have to go now.
