Story
Luke came from a rural shelter where he was surrendered.  He is 8 yrs old and has been chained most of his life- he has a permanent bald ring around his neck from the chain.  Despite that, he is a sweet boy who is learning to be an inside dog.  He is learning to calm himself by going into his crate when he feels overwhelmed.  He has taken a great liking to his foster dad and will get into his lap to calm himself.  Luke will be starting heart worm treatment soon and will be available at the end of the treatment.  He needs a 6 ft privacy fenced and a family with older respectful kids as he can be too much for little ones when he gets the zoomies.  We don't think he would be good with cats because he shows too much interest in those outside.  He needs a family who is willing to be patient with him and show him what a loving family is and one who will always take good care of him.  If you are looking for a sweet boy who desperately wants to be part of someone's family and are willing to be patient and love him unconditionally, please contact Rainbow Rescue at :  rainbowanimalrescueva@gmail.com or call at 757-472-1583August 9, 2026, 12:22 am

Story
Bella is a beautiful 6-year-old long haired German Shepherd. She’s an intelligent, active girl who would be a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and wants a dog who can keep up. Bella is smart, attentive, and a great listener. She loves having something to keep her mind busy and would thrive with someone who enjoys taking her on walks, giving her enrichment activities, and keeping her engaged. She’s always ready for her next adventure! When it’s playtime, Bella especially loves toys—squeaky toys are her absolute favorite! She also enjoys chewing on bones as a special treat. And when Bella gets really excited, she has the cutest habit: she spins in circles! Bella is kennel trained and does not have separation anxiety. She does well with other dogs, cats, and kids. Bella is looking for someone who will give her the exercise, mental stimulation, love, and companionship she deserves.

Story
Mack is a German shepherd mix, we have had him for a little over a year and he is 18 months old, he has been through a $5,000, 4 week advanced training program using an e-collar and he still knows all of his commands (when in non-distracting environments) we are rehoming him because he has severe anxiety in new environments (not in the home, he is comfortably crate trained and enjoys being inside) this was not a problem when we lived in a house but since moving to an apartment with other people he is too scared and barks and lunges at people. We do not have the time nor resources to desensitize him. He has a trainer that we can give you the number for. His main caretaker is physically disabled and cannot safely handle him pulling on the leash. He will need some additional training, and time, to help him adjust to new environments. He is loving and full of personality, LOVES fetch and is very physically affectionate when comfortable. Free withcrate, place board, bowls, and food carrier.
