Story
Hunter Henry is an adorable 3-month-old German Shepherd mix with bright eyes, big paws, and a big personality. He’s smart, curious, and full of puppy energy. Because he’s so young and eager to learn, training should begin as soon as he comes home. Shepherd mixes pick up habits quickly, so consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement will be essential to help him grow into a well-mannered adult. Breed experience is strongly recommended, as German Shepherd mixes require confident, knowledgeable handling and ongoing structure. Hunter Henry is currently a nippy boy, which is normal at this age, but adopters will need to work on redirecting that behavior with appropriate chew toys and by teaching bite inhibition. He will also need early guidance around food guarding to build positive associations and prevent the behavior from escalating. As an intelligent, active puppy, he’ll need plenty of enrichment and mental stimulation. Puzzle toys, training sessions, sniffing games, and interactive play will help keep him engaged. Without enough structure and stimulation, puppies can become bored quickly, so keeping both his mind and body busy will be key to his success.

Story
Meet Gage! Surrendered through no fault of his own, this handsome pup is looking for a fresh start! Gage is a great leash walker who enjoys long walks. He`d be a great hiking buddy! Gage follows basic commands such as sit and shake, and is gentle when accepting treats. He loves to play fetch or just run around chasing tennis balls and squeaky toys. When he`s not playing, Gage is very affectionate and also likes to be brushed. Gage is house and crate-trained, and enjoys the company of other dogs. He is best-suited for a home with older kids and a fenced yard where he can run and play. Gage is a great pup! Come in and meet him today!

Story
JACK- 1 Year & 7 Months Jack was recently surrendered by owner due to not getting along with his litter mates and his parents.  The owner states he does well with other dogs that are not related to him, although he has shown resource guarding tendencies so food and toys should be kept separate.  He likes playing with tennis balls and being a goof ball himself. He has never been around children and would not do well with cats.  He enjoys lounging on the couch watching tv with his person, but he can also be energetic and playful like the pup he is.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 6, 2025, 10:17 pm

Story
Meet Yeti! This sweet guy is hoping to be the newest member of your family! Yeti does tend to be on the more timid side, so he would do well with having a canine companion in the home to help him get more comfortable. For that same reason, we also require that Yeti meets any of your other resident canines in the home prior to adoption, to make sure everyone gets along. Adopters should also be prepared to help Yeti get better with socializing and handling, and remember to do any introductions with either people or animals slowly! If you have any questions about Yeti, or if you would like to visit, please speak with our kennel team & they will be happy to assist!

Story
Meet Sara — Your New Best Friend in a Perfectly Trained, 45-Pound Package of Love At just 20 months old, Miss Sara is already proving to be the kind of once-in-a-lifetime dog everyone hopes for—smart, affectionate, eager to please, and now… beautifully trained. Originally adopted as a puppy, Sara was very loved—but when her owner sadly fell ill and could no longer care for her, everything changed. She returned to us with a heart full of love, but without the manners every young pup needs. We knew this girl had potential, so off she went to a professional 3-week training program… and wow, is she showing off. &#226&#156&#133 Training? She’s nailing it. &#226&#156&#133 People? She adores them. &#226&#156&#133 Dogs? Instant besties. &#226&#156&#133 Kids? She belly-crawls just to be close to them—it’s beyond precious. We believe she’s a Dutch Shepherd mix, weighing in at about 45 pounds, with a gorgeous, sleek coat and a heart that beats for human connection. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines—and yes, ready to go! Now, she’s just looking for a home that can match her devotion with love and guidance. Toys are her jam, and she’ll happily entertain herself or join you for a game of fetch. No kitties for this girl, please! Chasing them is just too much fun, and she needs a cat-free home to thrive. Sara is the kind of dog who makes you feel like the most important person in the world. Her loyalty is unmatched, her spirit is bright, and her readiness for her forever home couldn’t be clearer. Interested in giving this beautiful girl her happily-ever-after? Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com today. Let Sara show you what love, intelligence, and a second chance can really look like. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 11, 2025, 9:36 pm
