He is no longer in the Arkansas shelter and is beginning the next chapter of his journey while he waits for his forever family. Meet Riggs Riggs is a male German Shepherd mix (best guess), about 1 year old, and already neutered. He is a friendly, happy dog with an easygoing personality who enjoys being around people and other dogs. Riggs does well with other dogs and would be a good fit for a home looking for a young dog with a positive, social temperament. At his age, he will benefit from continued structure, training, and regular activity to help him continue adjusting to life in a home environment. Now that Riggs is in foster care, we will continue learning more about his personality, manners, and preferences as he settles in. From Riggs’ Foster: Riggs is doing amazing! He’s fully potty trained, did great with his bath, and already knows sit, down, and off. We’re working on paw and lay down—he’s very smart and treat-motivated. I think he would be a good potential service dog. He’s a total cuddle bug who loves sleeping with me and even watches TV. He walks beautifully on a leash without pulling and enjoys playing fetch (I’m doing most of the fetching). Indoors, he’ll usually bring toys back and drop them when asked. We went to PetSmart where Riggs picked out his own new toy. Riggs loves all his toys, but his favorite is a stuffed mallard duck that honks and crinkles—and it always goes to bed with him. She must have a foster or adopter committed in order to secure her spot on the transport. Meet Blossom Blossom is a 3-year-old rottweiler mix whose surrender had nothing to do with her. She previously lived in an apartment with a family but was surrendered simply because the household was not allowed to have three dogs. Blossom is incredibly sweet, gentle, and full of love. She does well with other dogs and with children, and her calm, affectionate nature makes her an easy companion. Her soulful eyes are ready to see the world from a brighter, happier point of view. She is potty trained and crate trained, walks decently on leash, and already understands how to live in a home. Blossom is heartworm negative and would transition easily into a variety of households. She can be cat tested if needed. Blossom is ready to settle into a home where she can feel secure again and be cherished the way she deserves.
