__________
Chloe is a bright, joyful soul who’s been waiting far too long for her forever home. She’s a very happy girl with a big heart—and she’s not shy about showing it!
She loves water—splashing around is when her playful personality really shines. Chloe is great with kids and other dogs. She’s very social, though her play style is big and rowdy, so she’d do best with other dogs who enjoy that kind of rough-and-tumble fun.
Chloe is kennel-trained, listens well, and is good on leash (especially with a little consistent practice). She’s very smart and highly trainable—she already responds well to corrections, even when she’s tempted to chase the cats.
Chloe is an easy keeper who just wants to belong. Shelter life hasn’t dampened her spirit, but she’s been overlooked again and again. She deserves so much more.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will bring joy, laughter, and lots of tail wags to your life, please consider applying to foster or adopt Chloe. With an approved foster or adopter, Chloe will be able to leave the shelter and get the chance she truly deserves. Without a commitment, Chloe has to stay put. She’s ready to be someone’s everything.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1.) Apply: Fill out an adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents.
2.) Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email.
3.) Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit.
4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.
5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.
6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old.
**Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
