Story
Simon (A130511) is a 2-year-old German Shepherd x Lab mix who weighed 60.8 pounds on intake! 12/30/25 This goofy boy is Simon! Simon was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of his own, but sadly, because his owners ran into housing issues with these cold temperatures. Simon was very loved and eagerly awaiting his next adventure! He would still benefit from attending a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on his manners. He is looking for a patient owner who will continue to work with him. Simon was stated to still have the occasional accident inside the house and HATES being kenneled. You might notice he has a little rub mark on his nose from previously being kenneled. Simon was said to great with people of all ages including babies and children! He also previously lived with other dogs and did well with them! He was said to really enjoy canine companionship! Simon was noted to have a high prey drive and would chase after poultry. He would do best in a home without small critters that might be tempting to go after. If you are interested in meeting Simon, please let us know! 03/29/23 These little cuties are a mix between a German Shepherd and a Labrador Retriever. They were surrendered to the shelter due to the cost of caring for the litter. At the shelter, they have been social and friendly. Puppies are a lot of work and each puppy is looking for an owner who will be devoted to their care and training. They will need help with potty training, basic commands, positive socialization, and so much more! Bringing your pup to a puppy obedience class is a great way to start their training and get in some extra socialization! When these little ones grow up, they are looking for an owner who can keep them both mentally and physically stimulated. If you are interested in meeting one of these sweet little pups, please give the shelter a call!January 13, 2026, 8:06 pm

Story
Linda (A137821) is a 3-year-old German Shepherd x Great Pyrenees mix who weighed just over 80 pounds on intake! 02/14/26 Miss Linda is back at the shelter due to the landlord requiring her removal from her most recent home. Linda formed a deep attachment with one of her msot recent owners and would bark loudly when that person was away from home, which made the neighbors complain. Linda was described as an incredibly affectionate dog who loves her people deeply. She was said to ride well in the car and to do well in pet-friendly stores. Linda was said to be kennel trained and housebroken and was said to do be friendly toward other dogs. She knows some basic commands, such as sit, paw, lay down and stay. She has been known to get into the trash and jump on counters when the opportunity presents itself. Linda can be rough when playing but was described as being friendly and outgoing. If you are interested in a velcro dog to be your adventure buddy, please give us a call and ask about Linda!01/14/26 This sweet lady is Linda! Linda was surrendered to the shelter because her family felt that they traveled too much to give her a stable home. They only wished her the best! Linda was described as an outgoing and friendly dog who has previously done well with children and adults! She has been quite the cuddler while at the shelter and loves to lean into her person! Linda was stated to be kennel-trained and to ride well in a vehicle. She was said to spend her nights in the garage and her days outside in her last home. She did well at not going potty in the garage, but may need some reminders as she settles into her next home. We also encourage her next owner to bring her to a basic obedience class to possibly learn a trick or two! Linda was said to do well with cats but has limited experience with other animals. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new animals. If you are interested in meeting Linda, please let us know! February 14, 2026, 5:39 pm

Story
Maya (A141167) is a 6-month-old GSD x Lab mix who weighed nearly 30 pounds on intake and is still growing! 02/12/26 This super smart little lady is Maya! Maya knows quite a few commands and is eager to show them off, especially for a treat. However, the one thing she hasnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t been able to master is potty training, which led to her surrender. We hope that, starting fresh in a new home and with a patient owner who is willing to work with her, she will be able to master this in no time. Maya would also benefit from being kennel-trained. She was stated to LOVE people and really wants to be a good girl. She is a young pup who would benefit from working with a certified trainer and getting on a consistent routine. Maya was known to jump on people, likes to chew, and to be quite vocal. Her surrendering owner noted that they believed she has separation anxiety. We encourage her next owner to discuss with their vet on the best ways to help Miss Maya as she ages. Maya did grow up in a home with a cat, but it was noted that she did play roughly with the kitty (which not all cats might appreciate). She also was said to be playful with other dogs, but again like to rumble and tumble. It is important that appropriate introductions are made to help set her up for success! If you are interested in meeting Miss Maya Paya, please let us know! February 14, 2026, 5:39 pm
