Story
Female - 4 years - 75 lbs - Microchipped - Spayed - MAHi, I'm Casey! I'm a beautiful 4 y.o. spayed female who is housebroken and crate trained, though I am a lady who can be trusted out of a crate. I have a high prey-drive and cannot go to a home with cats or small pets. I am also selective about other dogs and need to be the only dog in my home. I am a moderate-energy-level gal looking for an experienced adopter who wants to be my best friend for life. I take some time to warm up to people, but will greet men, women, and children appropriately when properly and slowly introduced. My special adopter will continue helping me work through my fear and anxiety issues and will respect my boundaries. My ideal home would be quiet, have routines, and have someone home most of the time – I really connect with people once they are 'mine.' I take medication for anxiety, which my family will need to continue, along with consistent training. I learn very quickly and pick up new commands with just a little repetition! This also helps my confidence, and I hope my family will continue to teach me. I love, love, love toys! For some reason, they don't last very long with me. But what I lack in stuffie preservation, I make up for by knowing which toys are mine and which are yours! I am very happy to play by myself or invent games for us to play together. My favorite is “reverse-fetch” where I drop a ball somewhere, and you bring it back to me! I don't love riding in a car, but the more places I go, the more I don’t mind it. I am still mastering leash skills, and I don't usually pull very hard, but I sometimes I see a squirrel or rabbit nearby. I am food motivated, but I haven't found anything more interesting than a squirrel yet. My adopter should live within approx. 1 hour of Worcester, MA so we can meet a few times before I move in. I know my perfect home is out there. Is it with you? Follow me on Facebook: #EchoDogCasey For more information, please contact adoptions@echodogs.org. Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states. Visit www.echodogs.org/available-dogs to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog IS available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
