**I’m currently enjoying a break from the shelter in a foster home, but I’m still looking for my forever family! If you’d like to meet me, please contact the shelter to schedule a visit.Intake Reason: Surrendered, protective of kidsWeight: 88 lbs Known with: ·Cats: Lived with 11yo NM & 8yo SF ·Dogs: Lived with 11yo NM Shep/Husky. Attended doggy day care, played with neighbor dogs.Participates in WCHS`s playgroups. ·Kids: Good with 10mo and 3yo.Fun Facts About Me:•I should probably start with the “elephant” in the room and admit that I have a few pounds to lose so I am looking for a home who will be committed to my weight loss program, feed me a healthy diet, limit my calorie intake and provide daily low impact exercise•I enjoy taking walks and exploring but am not a fan of water so swimming exercise is not for me•I must confess that I get a little wiggly when it is time to trim my nails and I hide when it is time to vacuum the floor because I think they make a scary noise•I have participated in playgroups at the shelter with calm pooches and although I am cool about hanging out with other dogs, I mostly keep to myself•I am a friendly and smart gal who knows the cues for ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘come’ and ‘kennel-up’•In my previous home I knew to go to the door and whine to ask to be let outside to use the facilities•I am comfortable in a crate and in my previous home had a comfy cozy ‘den’ of my own where I could relax and chill when alone or at night•I have been described as a calm couch potato who can be a smidge stubborn at times; sometimes I just need some gentle coaxing to get my body moving•Although I can be a wee bit shy at first, once I am comfortable my true playful nature blossoms•I am a quiet lass but can be a bit vocal when I’m playing•I am an affectionate girl who thinks tender scratches, snuggles and cuddles are lovely#1

Intake Reason: Surrendered, movingWeight: 47 lbs Known with: ·Cats: Lived with 1 yr old female cat ·Dogs: Played with neighbor dogs ·Kids: Good with 16 yr old kids Fun Facts About Me:•I am an extreme athlete so I will need a family who will provide plenty of physical and mental exercise for me to be my best self•I am comfortable in a crate and in my previous home, although I would curl up in my cozy private den to sleep at night, I was so respectful of my family’s things I was allowed to roam freely when I was home alone•When I had to let my people know that I needed to go outside to do my business I would pace around and whine•I do need to practice more polite leash walking (I tend to pull a bit) and keeping four-on-the-floor (I get happy and excited and jump up on people)•I must confess that I had great fun chasing the kitty I used to live with and never quite understood the correction she tried to give me•I enjoy learning new things and understand the cues for ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘toy’, ‘high-five’ and ‘crate’•I am a playful lad who loves playing fetch and tug•I enjoy car rides and think it would be great to be your loyal and faithful sidekick on many adventures•I am a friendly and affectionate guy who LOVES humans#2
