Intake Reason: Transfer from TexasWeight: 15.2 lbs Known with:·Dogs: Unknown·Kids: Unknown·Cats: UnknownPuppies are magnificent! I am cute, rambunctious, lively and fun. I have so much to learn, discover and explore - just a tiny sponge who is ready to absorb everything you must teach me and show me. I am counting on you to help me safely navigate the world and experience new things each day to allow me to grow into a confident young dog. That isn’t as exotic and daunting a task as it might sound. Each day I just need to be introduced to one new thing like the sound of a vacuum, a blender or a doorbell, walking up and down a step, a ride in a car, hearing a motorcycle or a truck, going somewhere to see new people, even maneuvering a fallen log on a walk. You get the idea, so many things that seem common to you are completely new to me. Speaking of growing, I may be tiny now but I do plan on getting bigger so I would love to take obedience classes to learn proper manners and social skills. I also know I have to practice something called house-training, so I know proper potty behavior. A routine and lots of yummy treats and praise will go a long way to helping me master house-training when I potty outside. Puppies and dogs need love, exercise, mental stimulation and consistency to be healthy, happy and confident. I am typically very open to all sorts of housemates; I can be a bit mischievous and may find any other critter as a potential playmate so they will need to understand that about me. I often explore the world with my mouth and while I am teething, I like to chew; my little puppy teeth are very sharp so if I am around children we should always be supervised. It is important that children learn about respecting me, too, and treat me gently because I am fragile. Raising a puppy is a big responsibility, a lot of work, and it may interrupt your sleep cycle for a bit, but a courteous and well-behaved dog is certainly worth the investment, and I promise to be loyal, love you unconditionally and be a companion forever. I just know I will bring joy and laughter into your home and cannot wait to meet you. Let the adventures begin!#1

He is no longer in the Arkansas shelter and is beginning the next chapter of his journey while he waits for his forever family. Meet Riggs Riggs is a male German Shepherd mix (best guess), about 1 year old, and already neutered. He is a friendly, happy dog with an easygoing personality who enjoys being around people and other dogs. Riggs does well with other dogs and would be a good fit for a home looking for a young dog with a positive, social temperament. At his age, he will benefit from continued structure, training, and regular activity to help him continue adjusting to life in a home environment. Now that Riggs is in foster care, we will continue learning more about his personality, manners, and preferences as he settles in. From Riggs’ Foster: Riggs is doing amazing! He’s fully potty trained, did great with his bath, and already knows sit, down, and off. We’re working on paw and lay down—he’s very smart and treat-motivated. I think he would be a good potential service dog. He’s a total cuddle bug who loves sleeping with me and even watches TV. He walks beautifully on a leash without pulling and enjoys playing fetch (I’m doing most of the fetching). Indoors, he’ll usually bring toys back and drop them when asked. We went to PetSmart where Riggs picked out his own new toy. Riggs loves all his toys, but his favorite is a stuffed mallard duck that honks and crinkles—and it always goes to bed with him. Story
Say hello to DINO! This bundle of joy came into the rescue and stole everyone’s heart immediately. His kind endearing eyes will make your heart melt. Dino was a puppy that was found by a wonderful person at the person’s place of employment. He fed Dino daily and allowed him to sleep in his car on his lunch breaks. Dino remained loyal and stayed around the place of work until they reached out for help from the rescue. To this day he loves cars and feels very safe from the outside cruel world inside of one. Dino has now been placed in a loving foster home and is learning to play wonderful with the foster’s big dogs and puppies that are fostering with him half his size. Dino is doing great in a crate and potty training. This guy catches on really quick. He is so appreciative of having a safe environment to thrive. He will lay on you or keep his head in your lap forever if you will allow. Personality: Dino is goofy, energetic, and playful! He does well with correction. Dino would be great in a home with another dog to keep showing the ropes of puppy life. He is soooooo ready to be your new best friend and would love a home where he can grow to be a wonderful life long family companion. Once adopted Dino will travel via the Rescue Transport to his new family. They travel each weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the northeast, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185.
