Intake Reason: Transferred in from Louisiana Known with: ·Cats: Unknown ·Dogs: Unknown ·Kids: UnknownWeight: 56 poundsFun Facts About Me:•I am an active boy with a heart of gold. Even though I am fully grown, I have quite a bit of “puppy” exuberance.•I need to work on being a little less mouthy and learn not to jump up on people; what can I say, I like to hug folks•I am very smart, like to learn and would enjoy a job or two; perhaps we can take obedience classes together, get involved in rally or participate in agility or dog parkour.•I already know the cues for ‘sit’ and ‘paw/shake’; I can also catch treats in midair.•I am a playful and loving dude who would enjoy many snuggle sessions with you.•I have met a couple rowdy pooches at WCHS that I have had a blast with in play group – yahoo!#2

Story
·Intake Reason: Transferred from another shelter -Weight: Known with: ·Cats: Unknown ·Dogs: Unknown ·Kids: UnknownPuppies are magnificent! I am cute, rambunctious, lively and fun. I have so much to learn, discover and explore - just a tiny sponge who is ready to absorb everything you have to teach me and show me. I am counting on you to help me safely navigate the world and experience new things each day to allow me to grow into a confident young dog. That isn’t as exotic and daunting a task as it might sound. Each day I just need to be introduced to one new thing like the sound of a vacuum, a blender or a door bell, walking up and down a step, a ride in a car, hearing a motorcycle or a truck, going somewhere to see new people, even maneuvering a fallen log on a walk. You get the idea, so many things that seem common to you are completely new to me. Speaking of growing, I may be tiny now but I do plan on getting bigger so I would love to take obedience classes to learn proper manners and social skills. I also know I have to practice something called house-training so I know proper potty behavior. A routine and lots of yummy treats and praise will go a long way to helping me master house-training when I potty outside. Puppies and dogs need love, exercise, mental stimulation and consistency to be healthy, happy and confident. I am typically very open to all sorts of housemates; I can be a bit mischievous and may find any other critter as a potential playmate so they will need to understand that about me. I often explore the world with my mouth and while I am teething I like to chew; my little puppy teeth are very sharp so if I am around children we should always be supervised. It is important that children learn about respecting me, too, and treat me gently because I am fragile. Raising a puppy is a big responsibility, a lot of work, and it may interrupt your sleep cycle for a bit, but a courteous and well-behaved dog is certainly worth the investment and I promise to be loyal, love you unconditionally and be a companion forever. I just know I will bring joy and laughter into your home and cannot wait to meet you. Let the adventures begin!#1

Story
𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑴𝒖𝒕𝒕: BROCK Brock is a sweet boy who found himself in a high-kill shelter through no fault of his own. He was found as a stray in rural Georgia and then was brought in by animal control. He and his sister Loretta are both super sweet, smart, and loving dogs. You can tell they previously had a home, and someone taught them basic commands. Brock was previously found as a stray in Georgia and was taken to the local shelter. He just recently made the trip up to Cedarburg, Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on 1/10/25 and is living in a foster home in Green Bay. He is learning all about the house life and is working on all of the puppy stuff like potty training, crate training, walking on a leash, and commands. He is super friendly to everyone and gets along great with his foster dog siblings. He loves his humans and is very affectionate and lives for attention. He is a super sweet boy. —--------------------------- Thank you for considering adopting from Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin. We are a foster-based rescue in South Eastern Wisconsin. We partner with several high-kill shelters in rural Georgia to support dogs in desperate need of help. Our mission is to give these animals a second chance at life and the loving families they deserve. By rescuing them from shelters, we not only save their lives but also open up space for other animals in need, helping to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that face euthanasia. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and offer them hope for a brighter future. All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines, flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed. To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application on our website at (www.muttlife.org) and review the adoption requirements to ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! Here is s summary of our adoption process: 1. Apply: Fill out the adoption application on our website completely and submit all necessary documents. 2. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. 3. Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. 4. Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 5. Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 6. Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 7. Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 8. Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted before 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement. Story
Meet DIXIE! 🐾 This adorable girl is just the perfect package!! Dixie found herself, through no fault of her own, in a rural shelter that keep most of their pups outside under tarps and with hay in the winter. One look at that face and we scooped her right up. We were shocked to find out how sweet, loving and gentle this adorable doll was. This amazing girl just loves life and hanging out with her people and dog buddies. She is the first to welcome you home and last to leave your side. She has the perfect energy one is looking for in a dog. Dixie is approximately 5 months and practically out of all those time consuming puppy stages. 💖 Personality: Goofy, playful and energetic. Dixie has a wonderful temperament and gets along great with her foster mates. She is super smart and a fast learner. She will be up for learning any new tricks you might want to throw her way. She is fostering in a home in Memphis, TN and her foster mom would love to tell you all about her. Dixie is going to be great family companion and she is ready to be your new best friend! If you’re ready to give DIXIE a lifetime of belly rubs, treats, and a cozy bed, please reach out! Let’s find this sweet pup the forever home she soooo deserves. 🐶💕 Once adopted she will travel via the Rescue Transport to her new family. They travel each and every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make this cutie part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
Klondike is a 2-year-old German Shepherd with a gentle soul and sweet eyes to match. She’s affectionate, smart, and has an old soul that’s easy to love. Currently in her Texas foster home, Klondike is thriving—she’s friendly with other dogs and has a mellow temperament that makes her great with kids. Klondike is ready for the next chapter in Wisconsin, where she hopes to find the perfect family to give her the love and care she deserves. FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

Story
Athena is a 6 year old, 80 lb female German Shepherd hoping to find her forever home! She was surrendered to us due to the death of one of her owners, and she arrived in pretty bad shape. She wasn't potty trained, and she had a bad skin infection. Since fixing both of those issues along with decompression, Athena has really come out of her shell! This lovely lady is spayed, up to date on vaccines, crate trained, and potty training has gone very well! Athena enjoys being around people! She LOVES being in public and meeting new people. Athena is very interested in meeting other dogs, and she loves going for her walks. She has not been cat tested yet, but we can do that it needed.Athena would probably do best in a home with older children as she may accidentally knock over small children due to her size. She's not a jumper, but she loves to lean on you when she wants to be pet. Athena also loves to play with toys, and she is catching on to fetch!DATCP#483538
