Story
I rescued Zara in Tennessee. She had been running about. Guessed age 1-3 years but she was definitely a puppy. She grew a lot and had puppy behaviors. She had separation anxiety and hated being crated. She can crate now if it s the right cage and anchored so she can not move it. Cage no longer than 4 hours. She does well in outdoor kennel for up to 8 hours but again it has to be inescapable. She adores children and her people. Loves people more than dogs but she does play well with those closer to her size. She’s a Velcro dog. She will not be happy if left alone too often. Very smart but will need consistent boundaries or she will lean toward being dominant. She responds better to praise than loud or physical forcing. She now will stay in yard or very close at neighbors WHILE I’m home. You can’t leave her out and go. She will look for someone who is home. Scared of thunder and fireworks. She is a love bug. Not a working dog.

Story
Blondie is a stunning 8-year-old German Shepherd and Malinois mix weighing 58 lbs. She is a highly intelligent, focused dog who requires a handler with extensive experience in working breeds and protection training. Based on her behaviors, it appears she began professional protection training in the past that was never fully completed. She possesses a strong, confident personality and has the potential to be an exceptional companion for a person who understands how to provide the structure and leadership these breeds require. Despite likely spending the earlier part of her life outdoors, Blondie has transitioned remarkably well to life inside and is fully housebroken. She has been making excellent progress with her current training and is eager to work. However, due to her high drive and dominant nature, she must be the only pet in the home. She is not compatible with children or cats and shows dominance toward other dogs. Blondie is fully prepared for her forever home. She is spayed, heartworm negative, fully vaccinated, and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $250. We are seeking a dedicated, experienced owner who can continue her training and provide the focused environment she needs to thrive.December 16, 2025, 11:14 pm

Story
Barnum is a beautiful Shepherd mix with a tender heart and a cautious spirit. Once feral, he learned to survive by relying on his instincts — and now he’s learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and understood. For the right person, Barnum will be an incredibly rewarding companion. But he isn’t for everyone. He’s for his person. Barnum becomes devoted to the person who makes him feel safe: offering gentle affection, leaning in for reassurance, and even rolling over for his favorite thing in the world — belly rubs. His mid-level anxious energy means he startles easily — even squeaky toys are a little too exciting for him right now. Barnum needs someone who understands that progress doesn’t happen overnight — but that small steps forward are victories worth celebrating. He will thrive with someone who will let him set the pace — whether that means giving him a little space or inviting him to cuddle when he needs reassurance. If you’re the patient, gentle, dog-savvy person Barnum has been waiting for, he’s ready to start that journey with you. Now healthy at 45 lbs, and glowing with life, this young but he’s quick to come around (especially if you have treats — he lives for them!). Once he knows he’s safe, his playful side shines through. He adores other dogs, loves his toys, and is always up for a good tail-wagging time. If you’re looking for a loyal buddy with a heart full of gratitude and a nose that knows where the snacks are, Corey’s your guy.
