Story
I rescued Zara in Tennessee. She had been running about. Guessed age 1-3 years but she was definitely a puppy. She grew a lot and had puppy behaviors. She had separation anxiety and hated being crated. She can crate now if it s the right cage and anchored so she can not move it. Cage no longer than 3-4 hours. She does well in outdoor kennel for up to 8 hours but again it has to be inescapable. She adores children and her people. Loves people more than dogs but she does play well with those closer to her size. She’s a Velcro dog. She will not be happy if left alone too often. Very smart but will need consistent boundaries or she will lean toward being dominant. She responds better to praise than loud or physical forcing. She now will stay in yard or very close at neighbors WHILE I’m home. You can’t leave her out and go. She will look for someone who is home. Scared of thunder and fireworks. She is a love bug. Not a working dog.

Story
Blondie is a beautiful 8 year old German Shepherd/ Malinois mix that weighs 58 lbs. She will require training from someone who is very experienced with protection dogs. We have been working with her but she shows signs that someone began protection training with her but never completed it. She does have a strong alfa personality but could potentially make a good protection dog with the right person. We do not think she ever lived indoors so there has been many new things for her. Blondie has been doing great with training and is HOUSEBROKEN! She is not good with kids or cats and is showing dominance to other dogs so it would best if she is the only dog in the house. She is spayed, heart worm negative, fully vaccinated and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $250. October 17, 2025, 9:43 pm

John Smith is a 6 month old male Belgian Malinois mix, and is such a handsome sweetheart! He has just the right mix of moderate energy and sweet affection to be your perfect companion. Story
Pocahontas is a 6 month old Belgian Malinois mix who will instantly win your heart! She is initially soooo shy and unsure when other dogs are barking all around her. But once she gets out of the shelter building and into its park area, she lights up with the most precious smile, clearly thrilled to explore new sights and scents by your side. Pocahontas has a playful spirit that’s both charming and contagious - she finds even the simplest things very interesting, and it’s easy to capture that same joy and curiosity while with her. Overall, Pocahontas has so much love and happiness to give. She’s far too sweet and gentle to spend her days in a shelter when what she really deserves is to be in a loving home, knowing the security and love of her forever family. Give her that, and Pocahontas will be your devoted companion for life. Story
Barnum is a beautiful Shepherd mix with a tender heart and a cautious spirit. Once feral, he learned to survive by relying on his instincts — and now he’s learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and understood. For the right person, Barnum will be an incredibly rewarding companion. But he isn’t for everyone. He’s for his person. Barnum becomes devoted to the person who makes him feel safe: offering gentle affection, leaning in for reassurance, and even rolling over for his favorite thing in the world — belly rubs. His mid-level anxious energy means he startles easily — even squeaky toys are a little too exciting for him right now. Barnum needs someone who understands that progress doesn’t happen overnight — but that small steps forward are victories worth celebrating. He will thrive with someone who will let him set the pace — whether that means giving him a little space or inviting him to cuddle when he needs reassurance. If you’re the patient, gentle, dog-savvy person Barnum has been waiting for, he’s ready to start that journey with you.
