Story
Handsome, protective and a great snuggler... what more could a girl ask for? Don't let first impressions fool you... While I do view all new people with suspicion, I warm up quickly - especially with the ladies! Once you are "mine", you are my person forever. And I LOVE my people. Can I be attached to you at all times? That would really be perfect! Need an 80lb lap dog? I'm your guy! And don't worry about any people you are unsure of when you're with me. Trust me, nobody is going to take a chance on getting past my BARK! I'd need a yard to run and play in. No apartments please. General Socialization Notes: At only a little over a year old, I am still all puppy! I know how to "sit" and I take treats very gently. I walk pretty good on a leash, once I get over my initial excitement at getting to GO! I love to cuddle, but really don't understand just how big I am. I still get zoomies and race around the yard for reasons only I understand. I love a good dig spot where I can stick my nose in the dirt. And I am a counter surfer of Olympic status! Does Jonas like other animals? I LOVE other dogs! Especially the ones who will play with me! My favorite "toy" is my foster sister... I chase her all around the yard and try to grab her tail... she snaps at me, but it is all in good fun. Really! I try to get the grumpy old man to play, but he doesn't seem interested... and my foster brother yells at me sometimes. At first I took it with good grace, but lately I have noticed that I am bigger than he is. That makes me boss, right? Does Jonas like children? NO. Kids threw rocks and stuff at me when I was on the street. They were mean to me and I don't like them at all now. Favorite Toys: My foster sister! I think I might like balls, but my brother always takes them first. And tug is kind of fun too! Ideal Forever Home: I would be a perfect companion and guardian for a lady/s, but someone active who can understand my need for exercise. I do warm up to men - I love my foster dad! - but it takes a little longer. I get bored easily and go exploring things to chew if I am alone too much, so if you work from home, that would be ideal. I do do okay with just my foster sister and brothers for entertainment and a yard to play in and protect from the mail man and Amazon deliveries... We make sure that they don't stick around any longer than necessary. Mostly, I need someone who knows that a Shepherd dog NEEDS to be with his family. It isn't negotiable. I need to be a part of your life and for you to be a part of mine. I'm not a dog who would be content to spend all day alone - at least not without inventing my own "jobs" to do, like interior demolition. You have been warned. I'd also need a yard to run and play in. No apartments please.

Story
Hi, my name is Tala and I am a 7 month old purebred Belgian Malinois puppy. I was recently rescued from a high kill shelter in southern California. Unfortunately shortly after my rescue, my new owner had an accident and broke both her hip and femur, and that’s why I sadly need to find a new home. I am up-to-date on all my shots and do you have a microchip that still needs to be registered under your name. I have been to the vet and all is well. Unlike a lot of Mals I have an iron stomach and can eat just about anything. I do have a high prey drive, which is normal for my breed. I do not get along with smaller dogs, but medium and larger dogs are on a case by case basis. Out on walks I’m also somewhat reactive to other dogs, but I’m working on that. I would definitely do best in a single dog household and with someone who knows the breed very well. I love all people, but kids are tough cause of my excitement level. Any other questions please just ask…

Story
Missy, a once-forgotten pup, has transformed into a happy and grateful soul, and now she's on the lookout for a loving family to call her own. 💖 This sweet girl has known the harsh realities of life, spending her days outdoors and having at least one litter of puppies. But oh, what a difference a loving home can make! Missy is now relishing the warmth and safety of being inside, discovering the joys of a comfy bed and the security of a caring environment. Missy's zest for life is contagious! She loves going on walks and exploring the yard, reveling in the newfound pleasures of a leash, car rides, and the pure bliss of bene bones and chews. Every new experience is a luxury for her, and she approaches it all with the enthusiasm of a puppy. At heart, Missy is a joyful, spirited companion eager to embark on adventures with her own human or humans. 🌈 She is strong, so an owner who can match her energy and handle her exuberance would be the perfect fit. Keep in mind that Missy can easily scale a 4-foot chain-link fence if she's eager to visit a dog or person, showcasing her friendly and social nature. While Missy may not have had much socialization with other dogs, she's open to learning and would thrive in a single-dog home or with a dog-savvy owner willing to guide her through positive introductions. If Missy's vibrant spirit resonates with you and you're ready to provide her with the love and care she deserves, please consider applying to make Missy a permanent part of your family. 🏠💕 Apply now at (https://www.fromforgottentoforever.com/adoptionapplication/) and let the journey of love and companionship with Missy begin! 🐶🐾 #AdoptMissy #FromForgottenToForever #ForeverHomeDreams 🌟

Story
Meet Bluebird (aka Maple)!  Bluebird—known as Maple to her foster family—is a 7-week-old German Shepherd mix (Mom-Star) with a big personality packed into a tiny, adorable body. She’s a confident little wild child who lives for fun, play, and adventure, and she keeps everyone around her smiling. Maple absolutely loves to play with her foster siblings, including three medium-to-large dogs (both male and female), and she has no problem holding her own. She’s also great with cats and truly thrives in her foster home’s large, busy family full of kids, noise, and chaos—nothing fazes this girl! She’s currently working on potty training and doing very well for her age. When she’s not busy playing, Maple’s favorite place to be is right on the back of the couch by your head, soaking up all the snuggles she can get. She has a wonderful balance of spunky energy and sweet affection. Maple is: •  Full of personality and confidence •  Playful with dogs of all sizes •  Cat-friendly •  Fantastic with kids of all ages •  Sweet, cuddly, and affectionate She will be available for adoption after January 2, and her future family will be gaining a fun-loving, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining companion.  If you’re looking for a puppy with spirit, sweetness, and a serious love for snuggles, Maple is ready to steal your heart.  If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website and complete an adoption application at www.elpasocountycanine.org/adopt ##2610820##
