Story
My wife and got Koda from a family friend when she was a puppy. We recently moved to CO and we recently just had a kid. We have a lot on our plates now and we do not feel like we are capable of giving her the ultimate experience as being a part of our family. Koda is currently 3 years old and loves to play and go on walks. We just ask that whatever home she goes to has enough love and space to comfort her.

Story
Chadwick is a very loyal and loving dog. He loves nothing more than the attention of people and will follow you around wherever you go. I have had him for 4 years since he was 10 weeks old and couldn’t have asked for a better dog. Chadwick is an Alpha Male that does not not do good with other male dogs. He does fine with female dogs, but would recommend them being supervised until you are fully comfortable they are a good to be left alone. Unfortunately he didn’t start to show this behavior until recently, and I have several other males on the property. It’s only fair to him to find a good home before something unfortunate happens There has never been an issue with him around people or kids, in fact he adores them.

Story
Meet Tecca, Tecca is a super sweet girl that found herself in a high kill shelter in New Mexico and no one to come claim her. Her time was up in the shelter so to save her we brought her here to Colorado. Tecca is a super sweet girl that is shy at first but loves everyone she meets. She is only about 45 lbs and estimated to be around 4 years old. Tecca is good with other dogs, kids and cats. She is currently learning how to walking on leash but has picked up on it very quickly. Tecca is also already house trained and does well in crates. Tecca has been spayed and then we found out that someone shot her several times with air rifle pellets. The pellets that could be removed have been but there are three left. Tecca does require a home with no chickens, ducks or other pet birds. Unless they can be kept completely safe from dogs. Tecca is also looking for a new foster due to her dislike of birds. To apply to foster Tecca please go to www.savingdobermankind.org/foster-application To apply to adopt Tecca please go to www.savingdobermankind.org/adoption-application All animals adopted from us are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and deworming. Helloooo!! I'm Lina!!I may be an older gal, but don't let that fool you!! I love to go on adventures with my human out on hiking trails or staying in and playing! I like to please my human and know a few basic obedience, but I can always learn new things too! I would love to have a fenced in yard to play in and keep me safe! I can be a little picky with my canine friends as I like to be top dog and I'm not too keen on feline friends. If you think I might be the lovely pup for you, please call my friends at TCRAS at (719) 686 7707!

Hello friends! I'm a sweet energetic girl! I'm just two years young and ready to learn and go adventuring! I'd love an active person or family, but I'd definitely need an introduction to any men in the family. Some men make me nervous and I take time to warm up. I am super smart and need guidance on how to use my brains! Learning new things, playing with toys and puzzle toys is so much fun! If you have the energy to match mine then call 719-686-7707 and come meet me!

Story
Nova is an amazing dog and will make an amazing family dog. We bought her from a man with a box of puppies in the Walmart parking lot almost two years ago. Nova will be two years old in May. Due to us moving and our new landlords having breed restrictions we cannot take her with us. Nova is protective, but she is not mean, does not bark, and is very gentle with small animals and children. I am looking for a family with a home and a backyard, and hopefully they do not work very long hours so that Nova can get her daily yard time or exercise. Nova is kind, loving, fun, goofy, and protective. Nova is potty trained, kennel trained, 70% leash trained (she pulls a little bit), knows sit, sit pretty, stay, and get down, and she is very good in a vehicle.

Story
see description. Meet Abby, a resilient 4-and-a-half-year-old sweetheart whose breed mix is a delightful mystery, though we suspect there's some German Shepherd and American Pitbull Terrier in her lineage. Weighing in at 52 pounds, Abby's journey to our rescue was one of survival and healing. Discovered by a compassionate soul in October of 2023, Abby bore fresh wounds, evidence of recent battles likely from encounters with other dogs or perhaps even coyotes. It took months of dedicated care to mend her physical wounds and fight off the heartworm infection that threatened her well-being. Restricted to cage rest for over two months, Abby's resilient spirit shone through, and today she stands ready for her next chapter. While she's a tad on the plump side now, Abby's eager to shed those extra pounds with some regular exercise. She's a fan of leisurely strolls, though her excitement may lead her to pull on the leash or surprise you with sudden animal-chasing escapades. However, on her turf, Abby is a perfect hostess, getting along swimmingly with other animals. A true cuddle bug, Abby finds solace in snuggling up next to her favorite human, though she may initially show signs of past mistreatment by cowering at sudden movements. Fear not, as she readily accepts belly rubs and eagerly hops into cars for thrilling rides upon hearing the command, "jump in." Abby's journey to recovery has been nothing short of remarkable, and we're overjoyed to finally open the doors to her forever home. While she'd appreciate the company of a fellow canine companion, what Abby truly seeks is a home filled with love and devotion. Some basic training would do wonders for her, though she's already proven herself to be quite adept with her potty habits and adjusts well to being crated, we prefer it only for short periods as she you get to know and trust her, and she acclimates to her new surroundings. Spayed, up to date on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and faithfully on heartworm preventative medication, Abby is more than ready to embark on the adventure of a lifetime with her new family. Her adoption fee is $225, a small price to pay for the boundless love and companionship she promises to offer. If you're ready to shower Abby with the love and attention she deserves, please consider opening your heart and home to her by applying at www.misfitsdogrescue.org May 1, 2024, 12:13 am

Story
0822281 - Nymeria is a sweet girl who loves to get pet and is very affectionate.  We think she is a shepherd/husky mix, she is 6-7 years old but she is still very energetic and playful.  She would love her new human to be active and get her out on walks, hikes and runs.  She also likes to play in the water.  She does okay with other dogs out of the home as long as they are more on the submissive side but would do best as the only dog in the home.  She would also do best in a home with older kids and loves her teenagers in her foster home.  Nymeria loves toys and can often be found with a ball in her mouth.  She is house and crate trained. She is very smart and treat motivated so with a little training the sky is the limit for this girl!  If you are interested in meeting her please complete an application at www.sloppykisses.org/adoptions! ##1508274##

Story
Nova is a vibrant 5-year-old Purebred Dutch Shepherd seeking a new loving home. Nova is an energetic companion who thrives on playing fetch. Her playful spirit for life make her an ideal companion for someone who enjoys staying active and engaging in outdoor activities. Regrettably, Novas family must find her a new home due to the presence of infant children in the household. As such, they seek a loving family or individual without children or older kids who can provide Nova with the attention and care she deserves. Nova enjoys outdoor adventures and would make an excellent companion for someone who enjoys walks, hikes, or playing fetch in the yard. Nova is fully house trained, eliminating the need for a crate. She understands and respects boundaries within the home. Nova is accustomed to using a dog door and has all-day access to the outdoors. Novas new home must be in a house with a secure backyard. This will provide her with the space she needs to explore.

Story
Lukas is a beautiful 2 yr old Dutch Shepherd. He is very energetic and loving towards people. He doesn't do so well with other dogs, though! He is very playful and can be 'play aggressive' towards other dogs. He would be best in a home where he is an only dog or he may do well with a female who is comparable size and age. He needs an experienced owner familiar with the breed who will spend time training and making sure he has a 'job' to do, as he is very active and intelligent. He will need a large fenced yard.
