Our Nellie girl is a 6 month old, female, Belgian Malinois/Poodle mix looking for a great forever home. Nellie is smart as a whip (duh, given her breed mix) and already knows a handful of commands with an eagerness to learn more. She’s house trained, sleeps in a crate at night, and loves to play with her canine friends. She can be a bit shy when meeting new people and other dogs tend to help her overcome this more quickly. For this reason, we feel she will be best suited with a live in canine companion. Nellie will thrive in a home with a fenced in yard and plenty of physical and mental stimulation. She hasn’t been around younger kiddos so we’d recommend older kids for her forever home. Feline friends, well….those that believe themselves to be more sophisticated canines may work as Nellie really wants to play with them and may not understand when they ask her to respect boundaries. Rollo is a 1 year old(Aug11) purebred Belgian Malinois. I have had him for almost 1 year. He is intact. Freya is a 1.5 year old Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix. She is spayed. I have had her for about 6 months. Both are 70-85lbs and full of energy. More of a constant energy than a spastic/ zoomies type energy. Although the zoomies occasionally occur! Rollo is amazing with just about any other dogs. Freya, since i have had her for only 6 months, im not totally sure how she is with all other dogs. Her and Rollo get along great though. Both are house trained and know quite a few basic commands. Rollo knows a few more then Freya does. Both are "ok" on a leash, but are young and still learning. I am working and going to school full time, and am going to be losing the current home I stay in, so I will no longer have the ability to care for them. I would prefer to foster them, but i am not sure how long it will be until I am able to get on my feet again.

I’ve had Izzy since she was 8 weeks old. She has been lived and Chairished her whole life. Unfortunately our lives have taken a different turn than expected. Our family welcomed a new baby 3.5 years ago which after about 1 year showed how hard that was for Izzy. She became a little shell of herself and it’s been hard d to watch her share attention with our young son. She became more withdrawn. Then last year our family fell apart and I became a single mother of her and my son. The hardest part now is running interference between her jealousy of my son and the 5 days a week I work 12 hour days when I don’t have my son. I feel Izzy is a shadow in this house and a fraction of her potential and has been such a good dog she deserves better. Izzy has few health problems and what she has is completely maintained by meds/supplements. She is best with a couple or single person and does want all the attention in the house. She’s a snuggle bug and a fierce guard dog. The most loyal I’ve seen.
