Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Bubba #5 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Bubba #5 | 1-Year-Old Belgian Malinois Mix | Playful, Energetic Best Friend Bubba is a 1-year-old, 40-pound Belgian Malinois mix with a sleek black coat and an upbeat, friendly personality. He’s an energetic young dog who loves being around people and other dogs. At the dog park he’s a total social butterfly, happily playing with dogs of all sizes and making friends wherever he goes. Bubba is nearly house trained and has made great progress since arriving in foster care. He had a few accidents during his first week while settling in, but he’s been doing very well since. On leash he walks fairly well, though he can pull when he gets excited about meeting people or other dogs. His enthusiasm comes from a friendly place—he just wants to say hello and make new friends. When left home alone for a few hours, Bubba does well in his crate. He may whine briefly at first but settles down quickly and is calm when his people return. He currently knows “sit” (especially when treats are involved) and is still working on his puppy manners, including remembering not to jump up when he’s excited. He responds well to structure and has settled nicely into his foster home’s routine. Bubba has also done well living with a cat, mostly showing mild curiosity before moving on. While he hasn’t met children yet, he’s been very friendly with all people he’s encountered. As a Belgian Malinois mix, Bubba is a smart, high-energy dog who will thrive with an experienced and active owner. This breed is known for its intelligence and work ethic, and Bubba will do best in a home that can provide plenty of daily physical exercise, consistent training, and mental stimulation. He enjoys being engaged and having structure, and he’ll flourish with someone who wants an active companion for walks, hikes, training, or other activities. With the right home that understands and embraces the needs of an active working breed, Bubba will make a loyal, fun-loving companion who’s always ready for the next adventure.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $450. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Gabby is very sweet but quite shy. She is cautious and can be scared of new things such as unfamiliar places, people, and dogs. She does warm up over time, but it takes her a while to feel safe and start playing. When she gets scared, she may try to hide. Gabby is crate trained and feels safe in her crate. She will sometimes cry a little when she wants to be let out, but overall she is not very vocal at this stage. She is still learning potty training and it is taking her some time, but she is very motivated by treats. She has no food aggression and absolutely loves her foster sister, although she doesn’t quite understand the concept of personal space yet. If placed in a home with other dogs, they should be non-aggressive and very patient with her while she gains confidence. Gabby does have plenty of energy when she feels comfortable and wants to play, but she is also calm and enjoys cuddling once she feels safe. She doesn’t bite much, except occasionally when she gets very playful and forgets she isn’t playing with her brother. Gabby is sensitive and can get very scared if voices are raised, so she will do best with calm, gentle training. ##2667791##

Story
Gavin gets along very well with other dogs and has no fear of them at all. He is improving with potty training but is not fully trained yet. He is a very high-energy puppy who likes to be involved in everything and will happily follow you around the house. He is currently crate training and will howl when he needs to be let out to go to the bathroom during the night. He is very quick to train with treats. He is very food motivated and not food possessive. He can also be quite vocal if he knows you are home but he is in another room or in his crate and will cry until he is let out. Gavin is very smart and would do best with an active family who understands the Malinois breed and their energy level. He is extremely active and always wants to play and doesn’t need as much nap time as other puppies. ##2667790##

Story
Gio is a lover boy. He loves to cuddle and give kisses, he even loves to give kisses to his sister. Gio's tail will wag back and forth if you hold him and he will climb into your lap if you sit down. Gio is a fun guy as well. He loves toys, and especially loves to fetch a ball. He is a little more sensitive than his sister and it works better to redirect than to be firm with him. Sometimes if I tell his sister "no", he will go sit in the kennel, just to make sure he is being a good boy. He does have an energetic side; he loves to run and wrestle with his sister. he is generally a sweet boy who really pays attention to everyone around him.  ##2667787##

Story
Meet Maple  Maple’s story begins with quiet bravery. At just about a year or two old herself, this young rez dog was doing everything she could to protect her nine tiny puppies while living on the streets. When she discovered an abandoned dog house on a nearby property, she seized the little bit of shelter it offered. One by one, she carried each puppy into the rugged, makeshift structure , determined to give them whatever safety she could from the cold, windy weather outside . It wasn’t much — but to Maple, it was hope. YOU CAN SEE MORE PICS & VIDEOS ON OUR WEBSITE: https://www.circle2rescue.com/available-pets/  Petfinder limits the number of pics & videos. When we learned about her situation, we organized a rescue crew and drove out to bring Maple and her babies to safety . She greeted us with a mix of exhaustion and relief, trusting us enough to let us help her family. Now warm, safe, and cared for, Maple is thriving. She’s doing a marvelous job raising her puppies , showing the kind of devotion and gentleness that makes her truly special. Our best guess on Maple's breed is Belgian Malinois/Shepherd and since she is a rez dog, probably many other breeds. Malinois and Shepherds are a working breeds and do best with an experienced owner.. Here are some of the things to consider. They are highly intelligent..Once they put their mind to it, they can excel at almost anything they do; they will even try outsmarting you sometimes. They need a strong and confident owner who knows how to be a pack leader; otherwise, they will dominate the household.Given their intelligence and eagerness to please their owners, Shepherds and Malinois are relatively easy to train. They can generally learn a new command within 5–15 repetitions. The Belgian Malinois makes an incredible watchdog and they won’t hesitate to alert you when they spot a stranger. Like most dogs, they thrive off routine and consistency and having a job to do. There are many activities you can do to provide appropriate physical and mental stimulation. Regular walks and hikes, nose work, fetch games, and canine sports will provide what they need and are vital to their happiness. Maple is devoted to her people but it takes some time for her to warm up to new people and dogs. She will require an experienced and patient adopter. If you would like to adopt please apply at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $250 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   ##2612793##

Story
I'm your personal adventure buddy with a heart of gold and energy for days! I am very playful, very sweet and I really love attention. I am a friendly guy but I will also look out for my humans. I do have alot of energy and will play endlessly. I'd love a family that will keep me busy! I do well with other dogs but I don't really like to share my toys. I would really do best as an only dog. No apartments please because I'd love a yard where I can run and play! General Socialization Notes: I am a very social pup. I do well with humans and I enjoy training. I love having a job! I am also crate trained. I do pull a bit on leash but am willing to work on that. I have been known to shred doggy beds with fluff or foam but mostly when I feel bored. I definitely feel much better when I get regular exercise. Does Draco like other animals? I like other dogs, I just have trouble sharing my toys with them. I have gone to doggy daycare and I have lots of fun. I think I might like to be the only dog in my home so I can get all the love and attention from my humans. I've also lived with cats and have done well with them. Does Draco like children? I haven't met small children but I have met teenagers and I've done just fine. I may do best in a home with older children due to my excitement and energy. Favorite Toys: I love all toys: balls, ropes, plush toys or squeaker toys. Be forewarned, I will chew/destroy toys quickly, even the ones that are made for intense chewers. That doesn't stop me! Ideal Forever Home: My ideal loving, forever home would be with a very active family that loves hiking and being outdoors. I'd do best in a home with a yard to allow me to let out all of my energy. I'd prefer a home as only dog to get all the love. Training is a must for me because I am very intelligent and love to learn. I'm looking forward to meeting my new family and sharing our lives together.
