Xander is a 5-yr old Belgium Malanois mix who is smart as a whip. He has a huge vocabulary and learns words very easily. He chases and retrieves tennis balls for hours, so he'll need outdoor space. He can jump 3' or more and he can keep a balloon in the air for half an hour without ever popping it. He lives with a cat who he desperately wants to "herd" but he stops when we tell him no. I have a 3-year old grandbaby who he's terribly jealous of and he doesn't seem to be outgrowing it. My children are afraid to let Xander around her, which makes me sad. I want to find a new home for him where he can play and be happy. He's good around other kids - it's just when Im playing with my granddaughter that he jumps up on me and vies for my attention which frightens her. He scratched her with his paw jumping up. Clyde is an 8 m.o. Belgian Malinois who, unfortunately, was recently hit by a car. As a result, he had his front left leg amputated and will be a Special Needs “Tripod” for the rest of his life. The good news is that nobody told Clyde this and, as far as he’s concerned, he will happily live out his life walking, running, jumping, playing, and wrestling just like all of the other dogs. He is smart, curious, and extremely affectionate with people and other dogs-he loves his “Snuggle Time”. Clyde is crate trained and will happily sleep through the night with no accidents. He knows some basic commands, but his new owner will need to continue his training. He absolutely loves playing with other dogs and would do best in a multi-dog household where he can socialize to his heart’s content. His ideal owner will need to be very cognizant of his overall joint health and work to ensure that his remaining front leg remains healthy for years to come. At this time, he has not been cat tested.

Major is reported to be house-trained and to have previously lived with cats and other dogs with no issue. He is playful and funny with children, but at 80 pounds, he can knock little ones over just because he's not aware of his size. Major would thrive with an active person/family. He is the perfect running/walking partner & playmate. He would excel at agility, dock diving, etc, as he is so smart & eager to please, but not hyper like a purebred Belgian Shepherd.
