House Trained & Crate Trained Bob has mastered the art of being a well-mannered house guest and member of the family. He's crate trained, and quick to learn new commands, making him a breeze to incorporate into your family's day to day life. Kid-Friendly At 65 pounds, Bob Barker is better suited for families with older children who can handle his playful energy. He's still young and doesn't always realize his size, so older kids will enjoy his enthusiasm without the risk of being knocked over. Activity Level This playful pup thrives on activity! Whether it's long walks, romping around in a yard, or engaging in a game of fetch or tug-of-war, Bob Barker is always ready for fun. Playtime Favorites Balls are his favorite for fetch, but Bob Barker also enjoys a playful chase. He brings joy and laughter to every play session! Ideal Home Bob Barker would thrive in a loving family home with a large, fenced yard (ideally 4-5 ft high) where he can run and play. He walks beautifully on a leash, making outtings a pleasure. He is alert and attentive, always eager to learn and be near his people. If you're looking for a loving, energetic companion who's ready to fill your life with joy, Bob Barker is your guy! He can't wait to meet you and start his new adventure.     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.  http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms     Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Archie is what happens when someone orders a Malinois mix and selects “extra legs, fewer opinions.” He is long and lanky like a beanstalk, with soft short fur, a cheerful face, and the posture of a tiny aristocrat who absolutely knows which fork is for salad. When he settles, he sits with his paws crossed like he’s waiting for the tea service to begin. A fancy man. A gentleman. A scholar, probably. And then one of his favorite people appears. Suddenly the dignified lord of the manor becomes all bounce and sparkle, like his whole body just remembered joy was an option. Archie loves his people deeply. It may take him a second with someone new, because he is an observant, sensitive soul, but once he clocks that you are kind, that you are safe, that you might be his person, he bonds fast and fully. For a Malinois mix, Archie is almost suspiciously calm. Calm but fun. Watchful but silly. Playful but polite. He walks nicely on leash, though he can get excited when he sees other dogs because, obviously, friendship may be happening and he would like to be considered. Archie loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine friend. He would do best with older kids or calmer kids, since young kid chaos makes him nervous. Cats are unknown. Here is the part that makes my heart ache a little. Archie came into rescue as a puppy with two siblings. They were both adopted quickly. Archie, somehow, is still waiting. Not because he is less wonderful. Not because he is missing anything. Just because the right person has not found their way to him yet. Archie is 2 years old, 55 lbs, and currently in foster. He is soft, sweet, sensitive, and so ready for the part of his life where he is not the one left behind. If you have room for a lanky little gentleman with a loyal heart and crossed paws, Archie is waiting to meet you.

Story
Major Mally is an all-around amazing boy! Smart is an understatement; he is very easy to train and likes to please! He knows heel (leash walking), a stop command, off, touch, sit, and down. Major is reported to be house-trained and to have previously lived with other dogs with no issue. He is playful and funny with children, but at 80 pounds, he can knock little ones over just because he's not aware of his size. Major would thrive with an active person/family. He is the perfect running/walking partner & playmate. He would excel at agility, dock diving, etc, as he is so smart & eager to please, but not hyper like a purebred Belgian Shepherd. The best of both worlds! Major is 3 years old & 80lbs. If you'd like to find out more about making this gorgeous pup a member of your family & to see whether (s)he would be a good fit in your home, please fill out our adoption form here: https://airtable.com/shrlL2pbqSGTRJiyc *If you live in rented accommodation, please familiarise yourself with the property management's pet policy. Our adoption fee covers an initial comprehensive veterinary examination, age-appropriate vaccinations, a heartworm test, (for dogs > 12 months), parasite screening with treatment if needed, flea/tick treatment if needed, microchip, spay/neuter, heartworm preventative medication, (for dogs > 3 months) plus any other medication or treatment needed up until the day they are adopted. *The breed mixes listed are an educated guess, based on both temperament and appearance*

Story
Kona is a very handsome dog and his personality is awesome! He's fun, energetic & loves to play, but at the same time he is extremely smart, loyal, loving, protective & affectionate. Kona has been highly trained by professionals & therefore listens well to commands & instructions.Kona was purchased from a professional breeder out of Alabama & he will be 5 years old in December of 2026. This is one of the hardest decisions in our lives. We love Kona so much, but where we're moving is not ideal for Kona to thrive, so finding the right home so he is happy is essential. We're looking for a home where Kona will get ample attention, exercise. activity, love & affection. A home with a good size backyard would be ideal and also for his new family to take him out to the park to play ball or go on trail walks is what Kona is accustomed to and what he loves.Although Kona likes to be active, he can also just lay around relax & be chill & also cuddle. When we meet, we will share much more abut Kona.

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available, giving you the perfect opportunity to spend time together and make sure it’s a wonderful match before making things official! Sayde is a 2½-year-old Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix weighing about 60 lbs. She is a bright, driven, and incredibly energetic companion ready for the right home. She came into rescue pregnant and gave birth to nine healthy puppies, proving to be an attentive and loving mom, and now it’s her turn to be the center of attention. Sayde absolutely loves to play fetch—be prepared, because she will happily wear your arm out—and she has a blast playing in water from a garden hose. She’s very affectionate, loves giving hugs, and would gladly sleep in bed with you if allowed, though she’s also perfectly content resting in an open crate or on a large dog bed when asked. True to her intelligent working-breed nature, she quickly learned how to use a dog door and thrives on mental and physical activity. Sayde will do best with an experienced owner who understands the needs of high-energy working breeds and can provide consistent structure, training, and daily exercise. She is not a beginner-friendly dog, but with the right guidance, she has the potential to excel in training, dog sports, or as a devoted companion. Due to her energy level and herding instincts, any children in the home should be over the age of 10 and able to interact appropriately. If you’re looking for a loyal, smart, and high-drive partner, Sayde could be the perfect fit. Sayde is currently undergoing treatments for heartworm disease. Until she has completed his treatments and is fully recovered, Sayde is available for adoption only in the Atlanta area; She must be able to come to Furkids' shelter for treatments. Sayde currently weighs about 60lbs., is approximately 2 years old (est. birth date 11/25/2023), and her adoption fee is $315. Sayde has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Sayde, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
Meet Dude – Your Loyal, Energetic Best Friend! Dude is a 3-year-old Belgian Malinois mix weighing about 65 pounds, and he is more than ready to finally find the loving home he’s been waiting for. This handsome boy is bright, strong, and incredibly loyal—everything you’d expect from a Malinois mix. Dude is housebroken and loves spending his days doing his two favorite things: going for car rides and playing in the yard. Whether you’re running errands, taking a weekend road trip, or enjoying a sunny afternoon outside, Dude is the perfect companion. He thrives on activity and would do best with someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. While Dude is a wonderful dog, the crate is not his favorite place—he much prefers being near his people. After waiting far too long for a family to call his own, he’s hoping someone out there will finally give him the chance he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal, smart, and loving dog who will stick by your side through everything, Dude is your guy.

Story
Meet Amber Leah – Loyal, Smart & Ready for Home Amber Leah is a 2–3-year-old German Shepherd with a heart full of love and resilience. She’s 56 lbs, gaining strength every day, and showing her playful, loyal spirit. Amber is house-trained, crate-comfortable, and enjoys toys, bones, and staying close to her people. She already knows how to sit, stay, and shake, down, wait and she’s eager to keep learning. She loves quiet time on the couch just as much as playtime in the yard. She has Pancreatic Enzyme Insufficiency (PEI), a common GSD condition that simply requires an enzyme with each meal—an easy routine that helps her thrive. Amber would do best as the only pet, though with slow introductions she can live with another dog. She’s still practicing leash manners and learning to relax around other dogs. Her ideal home is probably a calmer suburban setting with a privacy fence, but with the right person and structure she can thrive anywhere. Amber Leah is spayed, vaccinated, and ready to find her forever family. If you’ve ever loved a German Shepherd, you know how deep that bond can be—Amber is ready to share it with you. Apply to adopt Amber Leah today.  An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Meet Isabell 💛 At just one year old, Isabell is a beautiful shepherd mix with a heart as big as her soulful eyes. Weighing in at 57 lbs (and still needing to gain a little more), she’s had a rough start after being found as a stray and brought into a shelter, but you’d never know it from her sweet, gentle spirit. Isabell is currently thriving in her foster home, where she lives happily with both dogs and cats. She gets along wonderfully with everyone she meets and has proven to be incredibly loving, easygoing, and affectionate. Whether she’s quietly soaking up attention or just happy to be near her people, Isabell’s kind nature really shines through. Despite whatever she’s been through, Isabell is all heart. She’s the kind of dog who just wants to love and be loved—and she’ll make an incredibly loyal companion for a lucky family. She’s still working on gaining some healthy weight, but with good care and a loving home, she’s well on her way to becoming her best, happiest self. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, dog- and cat-friendly companion, Isabell might just be your perfect match. Apply to adopt Isabell here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ACPR/Dog

PIPER ~~ Spayed Female, German Shepherd, Tan and Black, DOB: 7/9/2014, 84 pounds Are you looking for a truly wonderful senior pet to shower all your love and attention on? Look no further! We have the most wonderful senior German Shepherd who is currently living with us because her former owner was no longer able to care for her. Piper is eligible for our Seniors for Seniors Program where we waive her adoption fee and give her new owner (must be a senior citizen also) a 20% discount off future vet services and any medications or food for the remainder of her life. What a great way to add a loving companion to your life and improve the quality of Piper's life tenfold. Piper is a very, very sweet, loving, social and gentle girl. She walks well on the leash and does not pull or jump up. She is food and treat motivated and is quite a smartypants. She is on a weight loss journey to shed some pounds and take stress off her joints. She also takes medication as well as a supplement to help with joint mobility. Piper is up to date on all vaccines and vet services, is microchipped and has a ProHeart Injection (for 1 year of continuous heartworm prevention) and a Bravecto Quantum Injection (for 1 year of continuous flea-tick prevention). Piper is very healthy for her age and is ready to find a wonderful forever home of her very own. Things to know about Piper: she has a very gentle nature, is housebroken, loves to lounge and would make the perfect movie-marathon buddy. Piper would enjoy a calm, loving home to enjoy her golden years. She would love to have her own fenced backyard to frolic and play in. Piper may do well with other friendly, non-dominant and non-aggressive dogs. If there are other pets in the home, we require a meeting of all dogs in the home prior to adoption to ensure a smooth transition into a new environment. We are not sure how Piper does with small animals or cats as she has not really been around them. If you are interested in meeting Piper to see if she is a good match for you, visit her at Crabapple Knoll Vet Clinic. 12604 Crabapple Road, Alpharetta, GA. 770.475.8272. Weekdays 630AM to 7PM. Saturday and Sunday 8AM to 4PM. We are closed on all major holidays. Please visit at least two hours prior to closing. Appointments are not necessary to meet any of our adoptable strays.
