Story
Meet Poppy the blooming beauty who is ready to plant some serious joy in your life! If you’re looking for a partner in crime for every trail and trek, this vibrant girl is ready to grow right alongside you. Poppy is a total firecracker with a heart of gold and a personality that sparkles! She is the definition of "life of the party," greeting every single person she meets like a long lost best friend. Don't let her athletic prowess fool you Poppy is a "Gentle Giant" through and through. Whether she’s giving out enthusiastic hugs or showing off her lightning fast learning skills, Poppy brings an infectious, super fun energy to every room she enters. She’s the kind of dog who makes every day feel like a sunny afternoon in the park. Believe us her moves are something you don’t want to miss, See her zoomies in action! https://youtu.be/Yzc8F6Ou5MA What makes Poppy truly special is her incredible bond with her humans; she is a total velcro dog who just wants to be where the action is! While she has the drive of an adventurer, she is also a world class lounger who loves to hang out on the couch after a day of play. She loves her "private mini room!" Poppy is crate trained and views her space as a cozy sanctuary to relax. She’s been living and playing with smaller dogs (around 17 lbs) and has shown she’s a social butterfly who loves to lick her foster siblings' faces every morning to say "hello." She’s a smart cookie who picks up on house rules in a heartbeat! Poppy knows exactly how to scale down her play to be gentle with small dogs, and she’s a master of the "play bow" to make sure everyone knows she’s a friend, not a foe. She is a dream on a walk and a proud member of the loose leash club. No pulling here just a girl who loves to stroll and take in the sights. No accidents here! She is a pro at keeping her space clean and follows a household routine perfectly. Incredibly smart, perfectly gentle, and always ready for the next ride. She is a loving explorer at heart, always ready to navigate a new hiking trail or scout out the best local coffee shop patio with you by her side. We suspect Poppy is a Belgian Malinois mix, which means she’s got the brains and the beauty! Weighing in at a sleek 45 pounds, she is that perfect medium size big enough to keep up on a run, but compact enough to easily hop in the car for a weekend getaway. Of course, with any rescue, her breed is a bit of a mystery, but her intelligence and stunning coat are 100% pure bred Good Girl. When it comes to other dogs, Poppy is a social superstar! She loves a good game of chase and is a play bow professional. She isn't just a pretty face (though that coat and those perked up ears speak for themselves!). She’s a vocal girl, but not for no reason she just loves to chat and invite her friends to join the party. Great with friends, but is just as happy to be your one and only! She would be happiest in a home with a medium energy dog who can keep up with her fun loving wrestling matches but also knows when it’s time to take a collective nap. Whether she’s sharing her favorite toys, wrestling on the couch, or inviting a buddy to play with one of her signature "are you ready to play" chirps, she is a polite and playful companion who would make an amazing addition to a multi dog household. Poppy thinks she’s the star of the show, so she’s looking for a feline free home! She’d much rather spend her time focusing on her human friends or playing "tag" with her canine buddies than worrying about what a kitty is up to. To keep everyone happy and wagging, she’s sticking to a cat free lifestyle where she can be her best, bouncy self. The ideal home for Poppy is one that matches her zest for life! Because she’s a brilliant working breed mix, she’d love an active adopter who enjoys training or outdoor adventures. She would adore a house with a yard to zoom in, but she could also be a rockstar apartment dog for a active person who treats the city as their playground. Something cute about her? She’s a talker with her paws she’ll invite you to play with the most adorable little dances! In Short: Poppy is Perfection! She is a brilliant, affectionate, and adventurous soul who is just waiting for the right person to lead the way. She’s also a bit of a home decorator when she’s feeling playful on the couch, she loves to rearrange the pillows to get her setup just right. It’s just one of the many quirky ways she brings joy and laughter to her foster home every day. She’s got the brains of a scholar and the heart of a puppy, making her the ultimate companion for a life lived out loud. Story
Meet Brownie! 👑🐾 Brownie is a 1½-year-old, 42-pound Shepherd mix who is sweet, energetic, affectionate, and absolutely convinced the world revolves around her! ❤️ And honestly… she may have a point. 😉 Brownie’s story began when someone found her as a puppy in South Texas in horrible condition. She was covered in fleas and ticks, frightened, and in desperate need of help. Thankfully, her finders took her in and gave her a chance. But as Brownie grew, so did her puppy energy. Her family realized they weren’t prepared for the energy and needs of a young dog and considered taking her to the pound. Rather than allow this sweet girl to face an uncertain future, they chose to surrender her to a wonderful sanctuary where she would be safe. Brownie has now been at the sanctuary for seven months, and sadly, no one has chosen her yet. And it’s absolutely no fault of her own. 💔 Brownie is a wonderful girl who is ready for a family that will appreciate her big personality, give her plenty of love, and keep her busy with all the things she enjoys. 👑 Meet the Diva Brownie is sweet, energetic, affectionate, and definitely knows what she wants! She is a vocal girl and will happily let you know when something doesn’t meet her very high Queen Brownie standards. 😂 Does she like something? She’ll tell you. Does she NOT like something? Oh, you’ll definitely hear about that too! She has a wonderfully expressive personality and a funny little diva streak that will keep her family laughing. Brownie loves attention and firmly believes that she should be the center of yours. ❤️ 🐕 Dog Friendly Brownie loves other dogs and would be perfectly happy sharing her home with another canine companion. That said, she would also be completely fine as your one-and-only dog. As long as she has her people, plenty of attention, and opportunities to play, Brownie is happy. 👧 Great with Kids Brownie would do well with children and would love having kids around to play with and shower her with attention. 🐱 Cats Brownie has not yet been formally cat-tested, but given her sweet and social demeanor, we believe she may do well with cats. A proper introduction and supervision would, of course, be important. 🏡 Working on Her House Manners Brownie is crate-trained and is currently working on mastering her house training. She’s a smart young girl who just needs a family willing to continue helping her learn. With patience, consistency, and a regular routine, Brownie should continue making great progress. 🥾 An Active Girl Looking for an Active Family Brownie has energy to burn and would love a family who enjoys walks, adventures, playtime, and outdoor activities. She enjoys her walks and would do wonderfully with regular neighborhood walks. She also loves playing with toys and would be thrilled to have a family who wants to spend time playing with her. She even likes trying to catch birds! 🐦😂 Don't worry—we don't let her! Brownie would love a family that will keep her body active and her mind engaged while also giving her plenty of affection and attention. ❤️ Why Brownie? Because underneath that hilarious diva personality is a really sweet girl who just wants to be loved. Brownie has already been through so much. She started life scared, covered in fleas and ticks, and unsure of what the future held. She was given a second chance, but after seven months at the sanctuary, she's still waiting for someone to look past her big personality and realize what a wonderful companion she could be. She doesn't need to be perfect. She just needs someone who will love her for exactly who she is—the energetic, affectionate, vocal, playful, slightly demanding, absolutely adorable Queen Brownie. 👑❤️ Brownie is ready for a family who will take her on adventures, play with her toys, take her for walks, give her all the attention she believes she deserves, and most importantly, love her forever. If you're looking for a sweet, energetic Shepherd mix with a big personality and even bigger heart, Brownie may be your girl. 🐾❤️ Seven months is far too long to wait for a forever family. Brownie is ready to be someone's Queen. 👑 PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING: The next step to adopt is to fill out an application on our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This doggy is spayed/neutered, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. Story
This is Jade, an nine-month-old Malinois mix (our best guess!) who somehow managed to get all the ears. Seriously, they're magnificent. Pair those iconic satellite dishes with her striking black mask, athletic little frame, and constantly happy expression, and you've got one ridiculously adorable girl. At just under 50 pounds, she's a petite powerhouse with enough personality to fill the whole house. Jade is the type of dog who wakes up every morning thinking, "Okay...what adventure are we going on today?" If there's a toy nearby, she's already halfway through convincing you it's time for tug. If there's a ball, she's ready. If there's a stick? Even better. She lives for playtime and has never met a toy she didn't think deserved her full attention. Watch Jade's video here! https://youtu.be/B9oKa-yFYxU?si=mCD3vn4mpsyel_kE She's both treat motivated and toy motivated, which means training with Jade is less of a chore and more like a game show where everyone wins. She absolutely loves using her brain, figuring things out, and earning her prize. She's the kind of dog who wants to be involved in everything you're doing—even if she's not entirely sure what you're doing. If you've been dreaming about owning a Belgian Malinois, Jade is exactly the kind of girl who will steal your heart. She's goofy, brilliant, endlessly loyal, and happiest when she has a job, an adventure, or a reason to show off just how clever she is. She's looking for someone who doesn't just want a dog—they've been waiting for a Mal. Someone who's excited about training, enrichment, weekend hikes, backyard games, and all the wonderfully chaotic fun that comes with sharing life with a working breed. But don't let all that athlete energy fool you—Jade has an incredibly sweet, gentle side, too. She's living in a loving foster home with other large dogs and is doing wonderfully. She adores her canine buddies, but she also thinks she's approximately 12 pounds and belongs curled up directly in your lap. Personal space? Never heard of it. After she's done zooming around the yard, she's more than happy to climb into your lap for snuggles and remind you that even working dogs can be world-class cuddle bugs. Jade is wonderfully confident with people and greets new friends like she's been waiting for them to show up all day. She's gentle, affectionate, and loves soaking up attention from her humans. We think she'd likely do very well with respectful kiddos who are excited to have an adventurous best friend to grow up with. She also loves having dog friends—as long as they're ready to party! Jade is a rough-and-rowdy wrestling champion who does best with playful dogs her own size that enjoy a good game of chase, tug, and zoomies. After everyone gets the sillies out, she's perfectly happy taking a break with the rest of the crew. Because of her enthusiastic play style and strong prey drive, she isn't the right fit for homes with small dogs or cats. One thing you'll quickly learn about Jade? This girl has springs. Her foster says she's an impressive fence jumper if left outside by herself, so she'd love a family that enjoys spending time outside with her instead of sending her out solo. She's also still polishing up her leash manners because every dog she sees looks like a potential new best friend, and sometimes her excitement gets the better of her. Jade could happily share her home with another playful large dog, or she could be your one-and-only sidekick—as long as she's getting the exercise, enrichment, and quality time she craves. She isn't looking for a couch potato lifestyle. She's looking for someone who says, "Let's go!" and actually means it. If your idea of the perfect companion is equal parts athlete, class clown, cuddle bug, and loyal best friend, Jade is ready to turn every ordinary day into an adventure. She'll make you laugh with her goofy antics, impress you with her brilliant mind, and then promptly climb into your lap like she's the tiniest puppy you've ever seen. All she needs now is her forever family. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? - Very sweet girl, loves meeting everyone and anyone- Extremely active! Would make a great adventure buddy and is very cuddly once her exercise needs have been met- Still working on house training and will need continued work with this in her new home - Super food motivated and very willing to learn- No cats or small animals, has a prey drive - Likes to `sing the song of her people` (can be a bit vocal) so a home setting with no shared walls would be best - Could potentially live with another male dog her size or larger, no females please - Could live in a home with kids 8+- Has some anxiety and is currently on medication which is helping her- Would benefit from crate training. She`s not a fan so far, but with an owner who works consistently with her, she could be successful long-termDogs: Could have potential playdates with goofy male dogs, pending a successful meet and greet, her size or bigger. But should be only dog in home (no female dogs please)Cats: No, thank youKids: 8+Weight: 35lbs.If you are interested in more information about how to meet/adopt Princess, please reach out to kennel staff at (413) 447-7878 ext.126 or by email at canineservices@berkshirehumane.org

- Buddy is a real ladies man looking for a home to call his own!- He was initially adopted from Berkshire Humane Society as a pup and through no fault of his own, had to come back to us after his owner lost housing. - He loves to be outdoors and smelling all the sniffs he can whiff! - If you`re looking for a pup that loves to play and chat back and forth with you, Buddy is your guy! - He can be a bit fearful of new people, specifically men, but when introduced by someone he knows in a larger space, he warms up quickly. Especially if cookies are involved!- Buddy is fully house trained!- Very food motivated and learns quickly- Needs a home with no shared walls since he likes to vocalize all his feelings- Would do best with teens and older- If you`re looking for your next adventure buddy, then Buddy might be the perfect fit!If you are interested in more information about how to meet/adopt Buddy, please reach out to kennel staff at (413) 447-7878 ext.126 or by email at canineservices@berkshirehumane.org
