Story
Wheeler Wheeler is a male Malinois/Heeler mix DOB: June 11th, 2025 Adoption fee: $150 I was told this is my heritage, maternally, Belgium Malinois and paternally, 50 % Red Heeler/25% Standard Poodle/25% Australian Shepherd mix. I think I am just a very nice young man looking for a family which can’t live without me. I am not fit for apartment life. I would do my best with someone with my breed's characteristics. I may also need more time to acclimate prior to showing my real fun-loving spirit. I am at my adolescent stage and would really benefit from a change of scenery. I am energetic and playful. At times, I can’t get close enough to you. I may think I am a lap dog. I will enjoy daily walks. I would do my best with a routine and basic obedience. I love to run and play. I would absolutely love a physically fenced yard to bury my head in the snow or in your flower garden in the summer months. I may require a fence, pending your previous experience, location and or other plans for containment. I may match with another dog, pending a meet and greet. I should adapt to a dog-friendly cat with a positive introduction. I will do my best with older children. I do have a very full coat and will require regular brushing and possibly grooming a couple of times per year.

Winslow Winslow is a male Malinois/Heeler DOB: June 11th, 2025 Adoption fee: $150 I was told this is my heritage, maternally, Belgium Malinois and paternally, 50 % Red Heeler/25% Standard Poodle/25% Australian Shepherd mix. I think I am just a very nice young man, who can be shy to new people, places, and things. Due to my current behavior, I will require a physical fenced yard. I am not fit for apartment life. I would do my best with someone with my breeds characteristics and is familiar with dogs who might need more time to adapt to a new environment. I am not as energetic as my brothers but could develop more of a zest for play once I have acclimated to my new home. I would enjoy a home with another dog which is looking to mentor a young impressionable pup who just wants to belong. I will seek out more attention and affection from my humans with another dog in my home. My leash walking is coming along. At times, or with new volunteers, I need more encouragement to walk next to or in front of them. I tend to trail behind with less confidence until I become more acclimated to the person. I am a very nice pup. I do have a lot of hair and will need to be brushed or possibly groomed a couple of times a year.

Waverly Waverly is a female Malinois/Heeler mix DOB: June 11th, 2025 Adoption fee: $150 I was told this is my heritage, maternally, Belgium Malinois and paternally, 50 % Red Heeler/25% Standard Poodle/25% Australian Shepherd mix. I think I am just a very nice young lady, who can be shy to new people, places, and things. Due to my current behavior, I will require a physical fenced yard. I am not fit for apartment life. I would do my best with a family experienced with my breeds characteristics. I am hitting my adolescent stage and would really benefit from a change of scenery. A home with a family, older children, less commotion, another dog looking to mentor a young impressionable pup that is eager to follow their lead, would be absolutely perfect for me. I could tolerate a dog-friendly cat, with a slow proper introduction. I am doing better with my leash training. I am not super confident and will walk more behind you than in front or to your side. I am an observer and take my time to work up to affection. I find confidence in having another social dog by my side. I will be medium or on the smaller end of large when fully grown. I have a thick coat and enjoy playing outside. With confidence and training, I will enjoy going for daily walks and playing in the yard.

Story
Introducing Roxy! What’s the first thing you think when you see Roxy? “Whoa… those are some crazy eyes.” Same. But trust us those eyes have seen a lot. Eyes that came minutes away from being euthanized. And now? They suit her perfectly, because Roxy is crazy in all the best ways: - Crazy smart Roxy has classic puppy energy and is still learning how to channel it but in a short time she already knows sit and lay down, is great in a kennel, and is mostly potty trained. With continued training, we’re 100% confident she’ll be an incredibly smart, loyal best friend for an experienced owner. - Crazy friendly Cats? Dogs? Kids? Men? Women? Yes to all. She can be a bit of a bull in a china shop, so she may not be ideal for very small kids but she truly loves everyone she meets. - Crazy athletic She walks well on leash, hops right into the car, and is ready to be your adventure ride-or-die. Hiking, running, exploring there’s no active hobby we can imagine that she wouldn’t love doing right by your side. So if you’re looking to adopt a high-energy, fiercely loyal best friend, in the wise words of TLC: “Don’t go chasing waterfalls.” Go adopt Roxy instead. She’s crazy. She’s sexy. She’s cool. And she’s waiting for her person. Roxy is being fostered in Houston Texas but is available for adoption many places across the country. Adoption fee includes the cost of transport. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DSTR/Dog
