One year old Jacob found himself in a Texas shelter with a toe injury. He has recovered well and made his way up to Michigan in search of his forever home. He is all ears and all cute! Jacob gets along great with other dogs and loves to play. He is crate and house trained and an all around smart boy, typical of his breed. He is a little shy at first, but comes right out of his shell after a bit. Because of his shyness, a physical fenced yard is required. Batman has had 1 family his whole life, we have been experiencing homelessness for 2 years and can go longer keep him, hes been sleeping in a car for a year and we know its not fair for him to keep spending his last years like this. he is loved unconditionally we just dont have shelter for him; ourselves included. Batman is not the friendliest with strangers and barks but once he gets to know u and you get to know him hes a very GREAT dog and a big love bug and protector, he loves cuddling & following you around to make sure youre safe, hes great with cats and kids & can get along and be around other dogs.. hes a old man so he just likes to lay down a lot

Xena was adopted from Riverside county animal shelter in Riverside, CA in September 2016. We believe she’s about 9 years old. She’s sweet and cuddly. She loves to watch TV, lounge around, and run around in the morning and evening. She’s has always lived with at least one other dog. She’s been around babies and young kids and has always been so gentle with them. Xena has always been up to date with all vaccines, and we’ve been told she’s in great health. She has no health concerns. We’ve also been taking care of her teeth by brushing them and giving her dental chews. She’s does come with a dog bed, some dog food, treats, and her vaccines for 2026.

In addition to my very dapper good-boy looks, I am also an avid ball player and dignified goofball. You may be thinking how in the world I can posses such conflicting personality traits...well I am definitely very regal in my looks and initial demeanor...but once I let my hair down (the shed is real, am I right?) and create a bond with my person, I reveal my more quirky attributes! I love being outdoors; you could even say that I am easily amused. Whether it be playing fetch to my heart's desire or going for a long trail walk (I would probably make a pretty good jogging buddy too). If you have a boat with an empty seat, count me in because I LOVE to swim! Being a German Shepherd, I am one of the 'brighter crayons in the box'. In my free time I like to work with the staff and volunteers to brush up on my basic command skills. They are always telling me what a smart guy I am!
