Meet Merlin! This snuggly, sweet puppy brand new to rescue. He's still very much a baby at around 5 months of age. For puppies, sterilization must occur by 6 months of age. Vasectomies and tubal ligation are accepted forms of sterilization in lieu of a traditional spay/neuter surgery. *********************************************************************** MAD is an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. Our mailing address is in Michigan, however, our dogs are in private foster homes across the continental US. The state location of each dog is posted with the name of the pet in the title description. We do not disclose exact location of the dogs for the safety of our foster homes and the dogs. For greater distances, MAD does offer transport assistance for up to 350 miles for the adopter, however transport is primarily on the responsibility of the adopter. Please help Legend!Legend is coming to MAD for a high kill Texas shelter. He is a seasoned boy of 8 years old and unfortunately was dumped in the community.Legend is very sweet despite the pain he is in he is suffering from a flea allergy which has damaged his skin and has made his fur fall out. He is heartworm positive and will need care.Legends X-rays showed that his hip bone is disentigrating, leaving him with unsteady and painful movement. We are looking at his options and hoping he may be able to get and FHO.Finally he unfortunately has bone spurs along his spine, which makes movement painful He is being managed well with a painanagment therapy and repays in sloppy doggy kisses.Please help us show Legend that the MAD pack cares deeply for him and we are here to show him what love he deserves. ##2692349##

Thanks to one of our amazing volunteers, Maxxi was taken in just before animal control picked her up. At about a year old, she had been abandoned near a fire station in Northern California — but her story is only getting better from here. Maxxi is an active girl who loves walks, playing with other dogs, and splashing around in the water. She’s currently living with cats and doing well, though her foster reports she definitely enjoys chasing (and catching!) birds. She absolutely adores her humans and will happily be your shadow, always ready for attention and endless belly rubs. Maxxi is still working through some separation anxiety but is improving every single day. She can be a bit sensitive to corrections, yet she’s incredibly smart and already picking up on the “doggy ropes” quickly. Could Maxxi be your forever girl?
