He’s a social guy who has met kids and adults and doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He gets very excited to meet new people (sometimes with jumping and mouthiness), but he’s learning manners and already responding to commands like “no.” With consistent training, his puppy-like enthusiasm is becoming easier to manage. He is dog-reactive — he barks and wants to chase — but it comes from a place of playfulness rather than aggression. He’ll need continued guidance to channel that energy in a positive direction. This boy is very high drive and absolutely thrives when given a job. He’s already walking more politely on leash, and he shows great potential for something like scent work , hiking , or another activity that lets him put his smarts and stamina to use. He’s a strong, active dog who will do best with an experienced, hands-on handler who can provide structure, consistency, and outlets for his energy . Recent updates: Did great at his vet appointment — settled quickly and soaked up attention from the staff once he calmed down. Went camping for a week and showed progress with boundaries and self-control. Continues to improve with “no jumping” and “no mouth,” and he’s learning faster every day. Whoever adopts him should be ready to continue his training and stay on top of his enthusiasm, but in return they’ll get a sweet, affectionate, athletic companion who’s always ready for the next adventure! He’s one of those dogs you don’t forget. Big head. Solid build. A scar across his muzzle that makes him look like he walked off an action movie set. People see him and think “intense.” And then he leans into you for affection. Cleveland is… different in the best way. He’s observant. Smart. A little dramatic (in a funny way). He studies you. I was looking for a purebred Belgian malinois and I located Kyra near Detroit I made the trip out there to go pick her up she was malnourished and older than what I was told I believe she is 10 months old. I still got her from them and brought her home she's on a good diet she eats 4health. She gained the weight, she wants to learn, she's full of energy. She's very sweet, she is potty trained and kennel trained. She goes to the bathroom in a specific spot about 500 yd from my house. When she is on a leash she wants to pull and pull hard. She barks when doors get opened in my house which is good she's not violent with anybody or any of my company but she is protective in a way. When she's excited she wants to jump up at your face to give you a kiss she's never bitten me or acted like she was going to bite anyone. I don't have the time to give her the training she needs, she needs somebody who understands her breed. She needs more than what I can offer.
