Story
Meet Busta Rymes! His DOB is 12/14/2021 and he's a tan German Shepherd/Labrador mix that weighs in at 60lbs. Busta Rymes has a lot of energy and loves to romp and play. He would thrive in a home that can help him burn off some energy whether it be walks on a leash or playing ball (which he loves). Busta received training at a previous adopter and knows the commands sit, down, wait, place, and come. He is a wonderful dog, but he got returned to us because of a few incidents with some other dogs that were aggressive or on his property. His new family would need to be able to keep a close eye on him if another dog is around or if meeting a dog for the first time, Busta seems to be a bigger fan of females dogs. He does great with kids of all ages but we'd suggest him being with older kids since he is a high energy player. He is house and crate trained. All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. For more information, please email us at havenozarksanctuary@gmail.com, or give us a call at 417-835-3647.

Story
Emmett is a handsome boy! His dob is 06/20/2017 and he's a brown and black Belgian Shepherd Malinois/American Bulldog mix. He was brought to us when his owners could no longer care for him. He has spent most of his life as a mostly-outdoor dog with other dogs, in a home where he suffered from a lot of separation anxiety. Unfortunately for Emmett, his people in the past have failed him. Emmett needs a person that's going to do right by him! He is motivated by affection and toys, but is very picky about his treats. He can be a little mischievous and likes to see what he can get away with, so he needs a firm leader who can spend a lot of time working with him. We have seen that he learns quickly with basic training. We think he could also learn by example with some well-mannered dog siblings. It has been observed that he rarely barks but he does loves to talk, but if he barks it's quiet and sort of raspy. Emmett is often found observing things going on around him. He does not get along with cats, chickens, or other small animals, as he has a decent amount of prey drive. He loves to follow his favorite people around and get scratches, being brushed, playing in water, and his favorite game is wrestling. He does seem to be house-trained, and does fine for short periods of time in a large kennel. All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. For more information, please email us at havenozarksanctuary@gmail.com, or give us a call at 417-835-3647.

Story
Hello Hoomans! My name is Bella and I am a 1-2 year old, female Border Collie/Belgian Malinois mix and I am looking for my forever adventure buddy. I am brindle in color and will weigh between 26-60 pounds, making me a medium size girl. That combination of Border Collie and Belgian Malinois means I am very smart, very active and very ready to go, go, go! Before coming to Golden Paws Rescue, life was a little bit rough for me. I was found along a hiking trail in the woods, by a wonderful person, at a time when I was alone, pretty malnourished, confused and somewhat bewildered. This person scooped me up, took me home and cared for me. When I was feeling much better, they decided that they were unable to give me the time, exercise and training that I required and, out of love, took me to Golden Paws Rescue in order for me to find my forever family. My rescuer told me that they were not bringing me here because I had done anything wrong, but because they loved me and wanted the best life possible for me. I love everyone, men, women, and children, but I still have a lot of puppy energy in me, and I may be a little too much for smaller children. I wouldn’t want to accidentally knock any little hoomans down just cause I wanted to play. I really need a person and/or family who are active and enjoy going on long walks and hikes and playing in the yard or dog park. I do very well walking on a leash and can sit on command. After a full day of hiking or playing, I really enjoy going home, curling up next to you and cuddling. So what do you say? I have had all my shots, I have been spayed, and I’m ready to go. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend to hike the trails of life beside you, I’m your girl. Fill out an application, come on in to visit with me and let’s begin our adventures together. Hope to see you soon. Love, Bella EULOGY OF OLD DRUM 1870 “ The one absolutely unselfish friend that a man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous, is the dog. “ Senator George G.
