I am a great boy and would LOVE a busy family to do fun stuff with then to just hang out relaxing with. I came to the rescue so long ago that all my family has been adopted and I'm still waiting ................... My rescue friends and can't figure out why. I'm a smart, friendly, happy and busy boy. I'd love someone to take life one adventure at a time with. If you know the Belgian Malinois breed you know that exercising my body is good, but it just makes me stronger and have more stamina ;) So you have to ALSO exercise my brain and I'm open to all the fun ways to do that! I love to be challenged and want to LEARN what you want me to do to be your new bestest friend!! I 'd love a nice family who will hike, bike, run, swim and play with me! I have a heart of gold and am ready to shine it right on your family, ADOPT ME!!! Dodger is house trained, leash trained, crate trained and loves car rides. Unfortunately, the shelter environment has been incredibly hard on him. The noise, constant activity, and lack of stability make Karl anxious and selective with new people.But outside of the kennel?That’s where the real Karl starts to appear. Karl loves walks where he can sniff and explore the world around him. He enjoys enrichment toys, chasing after balls, lounging in the yard, and spending time with people he trusts. Once comfortable, he becomes affectionate, playful, and eager to connect.He has been working closely with staff and trainers who describe him as a “happy-go-lucky boy” once he settles in. He allows handling well with familiar people, takes treats gently, and has even started learning basic obedience skills using positive reinforcement.Karl would thrive with: * A fenced yard* Shepherd-savvy humans* Structure, patience, and routine* Children over 10* Slow introductions to dogs* Continued confidence building and positive trainingHe is currently still receiving treatment for his skin and cannot yet be neutered because he is on steroids.Karl is not looking for a perfect home. Zeus has officially been neutered! Now he’s just waiting for his special people… and we DOOO mean special. After living outside for about a year, Zeus is still figuring out this whole “people” thing. He’s aloof, independent, and honestly? He’s probably not going to fall in love with you during a 15-minute kennel interaction. He’s going to need someone who understands that building a relationship with him is going to take time.And then there’s Zeus’s résumé. He has tried: Search & rescue — nope. Police academy — also nope. Scent work — well… he’ll go to the scent things. He just doesn’t seem to understand that he’s supposed to actually DO the scent work.
