Story
Meet Remus Lupin – A Gentle Soul Ready to Find His Pack! Just like his famous namesake, Remus Lupin is a quiet, kind hearted guy with so much love to give. This handsome 1–2-year-old Belgian Malinois may be a little shy when you first meet him, but give him a little patience and a few tasty treats, and you’ll quickly discover an incredibly sweet, loyal companion. Remus is currently building his confidence and can be a bit nervous in new environments or around loud noises. He’s looking for a family that understands every dog learns at their own pace and is willing to help him continue blossoming into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. One thing Remus has no shortage of is a desire to learn! He’s incredibly eager to please, making him a fantastic training partner. He’s highly food motivated, so teaching new skills is both fun and rewarding for him. While toys aren’t quite as exciting yet for training, he does enjoy chasing after a tennis ball…but he’s still figuring out that bringing it back is also part of the game! As a young Belgian Malinois, Remus will thrive with an active family committed to providing him with continued training, mental enrichment, and plenty of opportunities to build his confidence. In return, you’ll gain an incredibly devoted best friend who is ready to grow right alongside you. Remus is neutered, current on all vaccinations, and ready to head home with his fur-ever family today! If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will reward your patience with unwavering devotion, Remus Lupin is ready to become part of your pack. You will love this boy!! Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Hi, I'm Luna! My rescuer found me outside a Walmart parking lot, hungry, injured, and confused. I pulled back my ears, gave him my "puppy eyes" look, and asked him to scratch my belly. It worked! I was rescued and soon was getting fed, watered, and loved. I'm mostly Belgian Malinois with probably a dash of German Shepherd. My attitude is mostly Malinois, but I'm able to relax a bit more than a pure Mal. My foster dad says this is a good thing because I can rest while he works. When I'm let out, I show my real energy! I love to run around in the yard and chase the squirrels back into the trees. I won't let those squirrels come anywhere near the ground! Back and forth from tree to tree like a jet plane! I'm a quick study for obedience, agility, and nose work. I've learned to find gloves anywhere in the backyard and little bags of spices anywhere in the house. I've learned sit, stay, down, touching a target stick. The more puzzling the challenge, the better! My injury has healed and now I'm learning an agility jump, too. I love to play tug of war and fetch, but my Malinois drive sometimes makes me lunge and I have a hard time giving up the balls and ropes. My foster dad is teaching me and I'm slowly learning, but my family will need patience, understanding, and consistency. I want to learn and am eager to please! I like to hike and walk, and I do well with my harness. I would be an ideal dog for anyone who wants to get into canine activities like scenting, agility, obedience, or anything else! I would be great for a hiking enthusiast, too. But I can also be a family dog as long as I get lots of training, walks, and backyard play. I am a Malinois at heart, so I need a main human willing to spend lots of time with me. To that human, I will give so much attention and devotion! I will always be ready for activities, but my foster dad is also teaching me an off switch so I will be able to live in a family home. If I sound like the perfect addition to your family and home, please click the adoption application and let's get going! 🐾 Meet Waffles! 🐾 Breed: Belgian Malinois Mix Status: Spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions Waffles is a stunning, smart, and athletic Belgian Malinois mix looking for her forever family! She’s past the puppy stage but still full of energy and enthusiasm. This girl is incredibly sweet and eager to please, but she will thrive best with a breed knowledgeable owner who understands both the mental and physical needs of a Malinois. Waffles loves a good game of fetch, and she’ll happily play for hours if you let her. She has had professional training, which makes her a fantastic partner for someone who enjoys structure, exercise, and continued learning. Her trainer is also willing to work with her new adopters should they like to continue her training. Like many Malinois, she has prey drive and will definitely keep the squirrels out of your yard. With cats, she’ll need slow, careful introductions. If they run, she may want to chase. She does well with other non-dominant dogs, but proper introductions are important to set her up for success. If you’re looking for a loyal, athletic, and intelligent companion who will love adventure as much as she loves downtime with her people, Waffles could be the perfect match. Could Waffles be your new best friend? Apply today and give this amazing girl the home she deserves! Story
KARL 5 years old • German Shepherd mix • Looking for rescue/adopter experienced with shepherdsKarl is the kind of dog who doesn’t give his trust away immediately… but once you earn it, you’ll see the goofy, curious, loyal boy hiding underneath all the stress. This handsome shepherd mix came to the shelter in rough shape with painful skin issues and ear infections that are finally beginning to heal. Unfortunately, the shelter environment has been incredibly hard on him. The noise, constant activity, and lack of stability make Karl anxious and selective with new people. But outside of the kennel? That’s where the real Karl starts to appear. Karl loves walks where he can sniff and explore the world around him. He enjoys enrichment toys, chasing after balls, lounging in the yard, and spending time with people he trusts. Once comfortable, he becomes affectionate, playful, and eager to connect. He has been working closely with staff and trainers who describe him as a “happy-go-lucky boy” once he settles in. He allows handling well with familiar people, takes treats gently, and has even started learning basic obedience skills using positive reinforcement.Karl would thrive with: * A fenced yard* Shepherd-savvy humans* Structure, patience, and routine* Children over 10* Slow introductions to dogs* Continued confidence building and positive trainingHe is currently still receiving treatment for his skin and cannot yet be neutered because he is on steroids.Karl is not looking for a perfect home. He’s looking for someone willing to understand that stressed dogs can still be very good dogs.He just needs someone willing to see past the kennel walls.

Story
Hawkeye & Remi – Bonded Seniors with Big HeartsHawkeye – 10-year-old Black Lab MixHawkeye is a gentle senior who enjoys the simple things in life—sunshine, fresh air, and a good shady spot to settle down after making sure the yard is safe and secure. He takes his “security patrol” duties seriously, then happily retires to relax and enjoy his day.Hawkeye is house trained on a schedule of about 6–7 hours and currently benefits from a midday let-out to comfortably do his business. He requires a fenced yard, as this is where he prefers to potty and spend time exploring at his own pace.He does well on a leash and is continuing to improve with short morning or evening walks, which also help manage his arthritis. His arthritis is supported with a Cosequin supplement, and he should wear a harness instead of a collar due to laryngeal paralysis, which can be aggravated by heat or pressure on the neck. Because of this, mid-afternoon heat is avoided for activity.Hawkeye is social and gets along well with other dogs. He also showed no adverse reaction when meeting a cat at the veterinary clinic.Remi – 8-year-old Border Collie MixRemi is the more active of the pair and a classic border collie at heart—intelligent, observant, and always keeping an eye on the world around him. He enjoys running in a fenced yard and making sure everything in the neighborhood is running “on schedule.”He is affectionate and loves spending time with his people, often resting his head in your lap while you relax in the evening. Remi enjoys companionship and attention just as much as activity. He does well with other dogs, though he has not officially been tested with cats—based on his temperament, there are no immediate concerns, but this is not confirmed. Remi is also learning leash skills and enjoys 2–3 short walks daily. He does best when crated in the morning, as he can occasionally have accidents if left loose during that time.TogetherHawkeye and Remi are a sweet, bonded-feeling pair who enjoy each other’s company and bring out the best in one another. They balance each other beautifully—Hawkeye’s calm, easygoing nature pairs perfectly with Remi’s playful curiosity and intelligence. They are both loving dogs who enjoy companionship, routine, and a safe space to relax and just be themselves.
