She would do best with someone who wants a dog that can just chill next to them and go for walks. She is not good with cats and is selective about her dog friends. She would do great in a home with no other animals. With understanding and love, Dixie Mill will make a wonderful, loyal companion.Dixie Mill is about 7-1/2 years old and weighs 67 pounds.Part of Dixie Mill's adoption fee has been paid for so her adoption fee is $85. Wayne is a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois looking for a very specific kind of home. He isn’t going to be the right dog for everyone—and that’s okay. We want to find him the right home, not just the first one. Wayne will require someone with working-dog experience, preferably someone who understands Malinois and what these dogs are capable of when their needs are met. Right now, Wayne is learning how to just be a dog. ❤️ There is some drive hiding in there; he simply hasn’t figured out where or how to channel it yet. We’re slowly building that confidence, engagement, and enjoyment of working with a handler. He enjoys his walks and will play a little fetch, although right now his attention span says, “Okay, that was fun… what’s next?” 😂 He’s also slowly learning the whole house-dog lifestyle and making progress! A few things about Wayne: 🐾 Working-dog experience is a MUST 🐾 No cats 🐾 No small children 🐾 Doing great with an e-collar as part of his training 🐾 Enjoys walks and some fetch 🐾 Slowly learning house manners and how to settle 🐾 Must be kenneled in a Ruff Land or similarly secure kennel—a standard wire crate will not be sufficient DOG INTRODUCTIONS WILL BE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Wayne needs someone willing to take introductions seriously, move slowly, and not rush the process. If there is already another dog in the home, that dog needs to be stable, extremely dog-savvy, and appropriate for him. Wayne needs structure, patience, clear expectations, appropriate outlets, and someone willing to continue showing him what life can look like. Have you ever seen a big doggy PUPPY? Well if you saw my pics, you have NOW! I have a perpetual puppy face, so very cute! I am a great boy and would LOVE a busy family to do fun stuff with then to just hang out relaxing with. I came to the rescue so long ago that all my family has been adopted and I'm still waiting ................... My rescue friends and can't figure out why. I'm a smart, friendly, happy and busy boy. I'd love someone to take life one adventure at a time with. If you know the Belgian Malinois breed you know that exercising my body is good, but it just makes me stronger and have more stamina ;) So you have to ALSO exercise my brain and I'm open to all the fun ways to do that! I love to be challenged and want to LEARN what you want me to do to be your new bestest friend!! I 'd love a nice family who will hike, bike, run, swim and play with me! I have a heart of gold and am ready to shine it right on your family, ADOPT ME!!! Dodger is house trained, leash trained, crate trained and loves car rides.
