PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 2/10/26 Denise This beautiful girl is about 12 weeks old. Her mom is a Belgian Malinois (pictured at the end). Dad is a stray tri colored mixed breed. Denise was previously living outside with her siblings (because that’s the only option we had for them) but now she’s in a new foster home and quickly getting used to living inside. She seems to already be starting to get the hang of house training. She is good with other dogs. She loves to play with toys and often grabs a toy and entertains herself. As with most puppies, she’d like to find out what shoes taste like. She is a little shy at first but is a sweet, friendly pup. She adores the toddler in her foster home! She hasn’t been around cats but given she’s just a puppy, she should be just fine. Denise seems to be a smart girl and is definitely food motivated! Given her mom’s breed, she will need a family who will invest some time into training her and working with her so she can grow up to be the best she can be. Spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. In New England. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 Message us or email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Name: Atlas Age: 5 years Breed: German Shepherd Size: 64.2 pounds Special Needs: Heartworm positive Adoption Application: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 Contact: transport@hssm.org Atlas is a stunning 5-year-old German Shepherd with a noble presence and a heart just as strong as his name suggests. This handsome boy carries himself with confidence and intelligence, always observant of his surroundings and deeply devoted to his people. Atlas has reached a wonderful mature age where he balances calm loyalty with moments of playful fun. He thrives on companionship and would love a home that appreciates the classic German Shepherd traits — intelligence, loyalty, and a strong bond with his family. Atlas enjoys staying active, exploring, and having a purpose, whether that’s going for walks, learning new things, or simply being a steady, loving presence by your side. He does well with other dogs, he is playful but is not too rough. He is good about listening and will come when instructed. If you’re searching for a devoted companion who will stand by you through every chapter of life, Atlas is ready to be your loyal shadow and best friend. Atlas is heartworm positive, so he would need treatment so that he could live out the rest of his day happy and healthy. Atlas's $250 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN.
