My name is Koby and I'm a handsome 8-month old male Malinois. I am located in Greeneville TN and will be available for transport. Quick Facts Age: 8-months old Kids: would do fine with older kids (12+) Dogs: good with large female dogs Cats: NO cats Training: needs full obedience training 1. In my short 8-months of life, I have been failed by humans multiple times. I've experienced things that dogs should never experience but through it all I'm a playful, energetic boy. 2. I need to be adopted by someone with working dog experience or high drive German Shepherd experience. I am *not* for the novice dog owner. 3. I have HIGH energy and a high drive. I need physical and mental stimulation, I'd excel at any task or dog sport. 4. Please understand I'm still a puppy but need to be trained in basic & advanced obedience. I need a person or family to put in the time and effort in my training to help me be the bestest boy. 5. I am house and crate trained, good with other large female dogs, I'm athletic, smart, curious, and outgoing. 6. Meet Ranger, the intelligent and active Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and boundless energy. This handsome boy is a fast learner and has mastered essential commands like sit, down, wait, and shake. He's so clever that he tackled a level 3 puzzle on his first try! Ranger is a well-behaved and well-trained pup, making him a pleasure to have around the house. He's house trained, crate trained, and shows no signs of destructiveness indoors. However, he does experience some separation anxiety when his human leaves the house, which is why he's kept in his crate during errands. But don't worry, when he's playing in the backyard with his furry friend, he's perfectly content and doesn't exhibit any separation anxiety. Ranger is an active boy who loves going on walks, and he'll gladly accompany you on all your outdoor adventures. While Ranger is intelligent and affectionate, he can be barrier reactive, meaning he may react when he encounters certain barriers or boundaries. Patience and positive reinforcement training can help him overcome this behavior. This is very typical behavior for both breeds and he absolutely has to be adopted into a Mali/GSD knowledgeable family/ Ranger was in pretty rough shape when rescued and the vet initially thought he had an intestinal disease. Nothing was definitively diagnosed but the vet believes he has small intestinal issues. He is on a folate vitamin daily and will just need annual lab work and a high quality RAW FOOD diet. Ranger's charm and charisma shine through in the photos and videos provided, capturing his playful and loving nature. If you're looking for a smart, active, and affectionate companion, Ranger is the perfect match. Give him the love and care he deserves, and he'll reward you with loyalty and companionship like no other. Have you ever seen a big doggy PUPPY? Well if you saw my pics, you have NOW! I have a perpetual puppy face, so very cute! I am a great boy, a busy boy and I would LOVE a busy family too!! I came to the rescue ALMOST 4 YEARS AGO! And all my family has already been adopted but I am still waiting............................................ And I am not sure WHY, except I am a smart and busy boy. I would do best in a single dog home...one great thing about me is...you don't have to trudge me to the dog park.... i prefer to be at home with YOU. I am good with cats too!! Now, if you know the Belgian Malinois breed you will know that exercising my body is good, but it just makes me stronger and have more stamina ;) So you have to ALSO exercise my brain- that is the way to wear me out ;) Doggy puzzles, wearing a weighted backpack, all kinds of ways to do that! I love to be challenged and to LEARN what you want me to do to be your new bestest friend!! I want a really nice family who will hike, bike, run, swim with me too!
