Rocket has both beauty AND brains. He turns heads everywhere he goes but, the truth is, Rocket needs a very specific home. He is a high drive, high energy working breed mix (Malinois/Dutchie/GSD/Boxer) and he needs a home that understands exactly what that means. Rocket is: Intense Extremely loyal Ball/toy obsessed Food driven High Drive High Energy Rocket needs: Breed experience No young kids No cats To be an only dog Someone who is home most of the time or can take Rocket out with them An active home Patience Someone who is able to help him learn that ball is not, in fact, life Training Rocket loves his chosen person and wants to be around them always. He has some separation anxiety but this is pretty well managed with medication and kenneling (to keep the house safe). He will go into a kennel or dog run reluctantly but does not try to break out. Rocket also needs to go outside every 3-4 hours or he will have an accident in the house. He can go a bit longer overnight but will have an accident overnight if more than 6-7 hours. Rocket is heartworm positive and should start receiving his heartworm injections in the second half of September. He is available for a foster-to-adopt home before he completes treatment but the adopter will need to be able to take him to his appointments and be able to keep him as calm and quiet as possible for upwards of 30+ days once injections begin.
