Story
Rocket is about 4 years old and is a Malinois/Dutch Shepherd mix. He is high energy but does know how to relax in the house with his people once his job is done. He has a very high toy drive and loves to play fetch with his favorite ChuckIt! and Tennis balls! Rocket also REALLY loves to swim, especially if someone will toss his toy in for him to dive after. He is very smart and is easy to train using toys. He walks decently on leash. He does need a reminder now and again to stop tugging. Rocket would be amazing with an active family! Rocket needs a home with no cats as he is not cat-friendly. He does okay with other respectful, calm dogs, as long as they respect his space. He is friendly with all people and has been noted to be very gentle with children; however, since he is a big guy and his toy drive is high so a home with no young children would be best. He displays neutral behavior to other dogs and people outside of the home but will attempt to chase cat, though this can be redirected. Rocket is heartworm positive and has begun treatment at the beginning of October. His adopter will need to get him to the San Antonio Pets Alive medical clinic for his treatment and will need to be able to keep him calm and his heart rate low for a period of time during his injections.

Looking to rehome this beautiful sweet boy ASAP❤️‍🩹 2yr old Malinois. Bo was dumped in front of my house three weeks ago and I can’t keep him because of my other dogs. My Grandpa has been taking care of him, but due to my grandpas health decline he no longer can take care of the dog properly. Really need someone who’s active and will spend a lot of time with him. Know that he can jump fences but other than that he’s an excellent dog, very smart affectionate, and deserves a loving home. Has not been around other animals or children while in our care so idk what he’s like. Has had no issues with people coming over to the house! Likes everyone but seems to love females lol ‼️Must be neutered‼️he has one testicle inside that could potentially cause cancer if it stays. We are currently looking to get it done before adoption but may not be able to. Serious inquiries only!!!!!
