Story
Austin has a way of making you feel like the center of his world. After three years together, he still lights up the second he sees me - big smile, tongue out, ears forward, like nothing better could possibly happen. He’s sharp and curious, always tuned in to what’s happening around him, and nothing makes him happier than a long walk or a solid game of catch. Letting him go is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. He’s been my constant through a lot, and I want him to land somewhere he can keep being the happy, active, loving dog he is. He needs people who’ll give him time, exercise, and a real connection - he thrives on that. Austin will give back every bit of love you put into him, and then some. He’s a really special boy.

Story
Meet Rob Smart, Playful, and Ready to Grow Up With His Forever Family Breed: German Shepherd / Belgian Shepherd Mix Gender: Male | Age: 4 Months | Weight/Size: 15 lbs currently (medium) Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Kids ✔️ | Cats: Unknown Personality: Friendly | Playful | Curious | ❤️ Loving | Puppy Personality Medical: ✔️ Neutered | ✔️ Multiple Vaccine Given | ✔️ Dewormed | ✔️ NexGard Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue coordinates safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality & Breed Information Rob is a handsome 4-month-old German Shepherd / Belgian Shepherd mix weighing approximately 15 pounds. He's still just a puppy with lots of growing, learning, and discovering ahead of him. Rob is good with other dogs and children, while his compatibility with cats is currently unknown. As a German Shepherd / Belgian Shepherd mix, Rob may grow into an intelligent, active, loyal, and highly trainable companion. Shepherd-type dogs often thrive when they're included in family activities and given both physical exercise and opportunities to use their minds. Rob is still young, so his exact adult size and temperament cannot be guaranteed. His future family should be prepared for the possibility of a medium-to-large, active adult dog. He would benefit from: Daily age-appropriate exercise and play Positive-reinforcement training Continued puppy socialization Mental stimulation and enrichment Interactive toys and appropriate chews Consistent routines and boundaries Plenty of companionship A secure home and yard, if applicable A lifelong commitment Rob isn't just looking for somewhere to spend his puppy months. He's looking for the family who will love the adult dog he grows up to become. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect At four months old, Rob is still learning how the world works. His adopter should expect normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, puppy nipping, occasional potty accidents, excitement, curiosity, and testing boundaries. Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so Rob's family should be prepared to continue working on: House training Crate training as appropriate Basic commands Leash manners Recall Appropriate chewing Bite inhibition Calm greetings Household boundaries Continued socialization Shepherd mixes are often quick learners, but intelligence also means they need appropriate outlets for their energy and curiosity. Short, positive training sessions can help Rob develop good habits while strengthening his bond with his family. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to understand his household routine 3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home Patience and consistency during puppyhood can make a tremendous difference in the adult dog Rob becomes. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Rob has already received important veterinary care. He is neutered, dewormed, has received a multiple/combination vaccine, and has been treated with NexGard. Because he is only four months old, his adopter should have his records reviewed by their veterinarian to determine which additional puppy vaccinations or boosters are still needed. His future family should provide: Completion of his puppy vaccination schedule as recommended Routine veterinary wellness examinations Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention Quality puppy nutrition appropriate for his growth Healthy weight management Routine dental care Age-appropriate physical activity Mental enrichment and continued training Regular grooming and nail care Veterinary treatment whenever illness or injury occurs A safe, loving indoor home As a growing puppy, Rob should receive appropriate exercise without excessive repetitive jumping, forced running, or other strenuous activity that could unnecessarily stress developing bones and joints. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Rob, please complete an adoption application at: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Ozzie and Friends Rescue is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing dogs in need and helping them find safe, loving forever homes. While based in Southern California, we coordinate safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. Adopting a puppy is a commitment that lasts well beyond the adorable puppy stage. Rob will need continued training, veterinary care, exercise, patience, companionship, and love throughout his life. Rob is only four months old, which means his story is just getting started. He's ready for a family who will teach him, adventure with him, laugh through the puppy mischief, and be right beside him as he grows into the wonderful dog he's meant to become.September 10, 2026, 12:43 pm

Bibby is a good boy. He is stuck in boarding. The kernel may close soon. He has no where to go. A foster or home would be great. He loves other dogs like Bennie at the same kennel. One pix is with his full coat. others are when he had haircut. Contact adoptachowla@gmail.com
