He is playful, smart, affectionate, and loves playing ball, running, going on walks, and spending time outdoors. He knows basic commands such as sit and wait and has so much potential with consistent training.Bruno is neutered and has been cared for with lots of love. He does have leash reactivity toward dogs, bikes, scooters, and sometimes strangers, and because he is a large, strong dog, he needs someone who is physically able to handle him and willing to continue working on his training and mental stimulation.I am rehoming Bruno because my work and school schedule no longer allows me to give him the time, exercise, and training he deserves. My biggest priority is finding a responsible family who understands his needs and will make him part of the family not simply keep him in a backyard. Meet Maggie 🤍 Maggie came into the South LA shelter pregnant, and just days later gave birth to four puppies while still there. Thankfully, this little family made it out together and Maggie safely raised her babies in a loving foster home. All four of her puppies have found their forever homes, and now it’s finally Maggie’s turn! Maggie is a 4–5 year old Shepherd mix and truly one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. She loves greeting new people and has such a warm, happy presence that makes everyone instantly fall in love with her. She’s a medium-energy girl who enjoys walks, relaxing with her people, and soaking up affection. Maggie walks nicely on leash, is crate trained, and potty trained and has adjusted beautifully to life outside the shelter. When Maggie first arrived, she was a bit unsure around other dogs, but with time, patience, and decompression, she has completely blossomed. She’s now become a playful, social girl who really enjoys canine companionship. Maggie is incredibly smart and athletic, so she’ll need a secure home with a 6-foot fence or higher to keep her safe. Adopt our sweet, handsome boy, Kiba! 🤍 Kiba is a 2.5-year-old Shepherd/Lab mix with the biggest heart and so much love to give. He was adopted from the shelter as a puppy, but through no fault of his own, was returned just before his first birthday extremely undersocialized and scared 💔💔 We knew he didn’t deserve to lose his life so we rescued him! Despite that difficult start, Kiba has absolutely blossomed in foster care and continues to prove what an incredible dog he is. Kiba is friendly with both people and other dogs, loves to play fetch, and is always up for an adventure. Once he’s gotten his energy out, he’s happiest curled up next to his people for cuddles and kisses. He’s fully potty trained, crate trained, great in the car, walks beautifully on leash, knows his basic commands, and is incredibly treat-motivated, which makes training even better! Like many dogs who’ve had an uncertain past, Kiba can be a little cautious in new environments. Loud noises can make him look to his people for reassurance, and he prefers to approach new people on his own terms rather than having strangers come right up to him. Give him a little time and encouragement, and you’ll quickly see his goofy, affectionate personality come to life. Kiba loves being with his people, but he’s also perfectly content relaxing at home while you’re away. We also think he’d thrive with another playful dog in the home to help build his confidence and keep him company.
