Story
Hi! I’m Porsche. 🐾✨ Yes — like the car. And honestly? The name fits. I’m about a year and a half old, full of energy, and built for movement. I’ve got that classic German Shepherd brain — smart, alert, and ready to go. But I also have a soft side that just wants attention and connection. I recently came back to the shelter after a short stay in a home. Transitions can be a lot for a young shepherd like me. Big changes, new dogs, new environments — it’s overwhelming when everything happens at once. I’m still learning how to slow down and settle when life moves fast. Here’s what I can tell you about the real me: I’m friendly. I’m sweet. I love attention. 💕 I know sit and down, and I come when you call my name. I enjoy car rides 🚗 and I’m happiest when I have something to do — especially if it squeaks! Oh… and toys? They are my thing. 🎾 If there’s a squeaker inside, I will find it. Immediately. I love fetch — although sometimes I’d rather lie down and proudly chew on the ball like I just won a championship. I can get very focused on my toys (I take play seriously!). When I first come out of a kennel, I’ve got some zoomies in me — that young shepherd energy! But once I’m in the yard and have space to move, I settle nicely. Structure helps me. Clear expectations help me. Slow introductions help me. I’m not a “throw me in the backyard and figure it out” kind of dog. I’m a “let’s build this the right way” kind of dog. With proper introductions, supervision, and guidance, I have all the potential in the world to thrive. I would do best with: A confident, experienced dog owner Structured routines Slow, thoughtful introductions to other pets Plenty of enrichment and toy time I’m young. I’m smart. I’m full of potential. And I’m ready for someone who wants to invest in me the right way. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic companion with a playful heart and a working-dog brain, I might be your girl. Let’s do this properly — together. 💛 — Porsche 🐕

Story
Hello, Charlie is a little over 1 year old according to the humane society in Omaha, we adopted Charlie about 2 months ago thinking it would be a good idea to give our other dog a buddy. But when we got her we didn't know how energetic she is and our other dog has seizures sometimes and can’t be too rough and go go go and she plays nonstop to where he can’t relax and it’s just not good for him or fair to him. She is a really sweet dog. We really wish we didn’t have to get rid of her but we just think it would be best for her and our other dog. She just has a ton of energy and LOVES to play and run! So far we have noticed she gets along with other dogs. She is a little timid at first but then comes out of her shell. We also have 2 cats and she doesn’t really attack them or try to hurt them but she does like to chase them. She isn't aggressive or anything just very energetic.

Story
Meet Leo 🐾 Leo is a 7-month-old shepherd mix with the sweetest, most gentle personality — and a face that’s always smiling. This handsome boy already has a great start in life. He’s potty trained, kennel trained, and has wonderful house manners for such a young pup. Leo gets along beautifully with other dogs, kids, and even cats, making him a great fit for many types of homes. He’s naturally quiet and calm, but still has a playful side and enjoys having fun with his people and dog friends. When meeting new people or experiencing new things, Leo can be a little shy at first, but give him a little patience and reassurance and he warms up quickly. Once he feels safe, his sweet and loving personality really shines. Leo LOVES treats and chewing on bones, and is just an overall very content, easygoing dog. He also loves being outside and soaking up the fresh air, so a home with a fenced yard will be required for this outdoors-loving boy. Leo is still learning the ropes of the world and will benefit from continued leash training and gentle guidance as he grows. With a family willing to help him build confidence, he’s going to grow into an incredible companion. If you’re looking for a kind, gentle, and loyal young dog to grow with your family, Leo might just be your perfect match. 🖤 Leo is ready to find the forever home he deserves.
