Story
Callie is a beautiful 3-year-old shepherd mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. She originally belonged to an elderly man who sadly passed away, and through no fault of her own, Cali found herself without a home. She has spent much of the past year living in kennel care, patiently waiting for her second chance — and she’s more than ready to finally have a family again.
Despite everything she’s been through, Cali is described as very sweet, friendly, and great with other dogs. She does well spending time around canine companions and enjoys human attention just as much. Cali is heartworm negative and has been kept on prevention. She’s affectionate, calm, and would thrive in a home where she can settle in, build trust, and enjoy the comforts she’s been missing. Cali has waited long enough — she’s ready to trade kennel life for couches, walks, and a family to call her own. She sits and gives paw on command and walks well on a leash.
She is potty trained in Texas, however her new family should be prepared to do additional training while she learns the routine at her new home in WI.
She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and she comes with her medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies her to be in good condition.
Her adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee.
