Pierre von Baar is a gorgeous, 16 month-old Belgian Tervuren mix (best guess). With Pierre’s beautiful furry coat, we could sit and pet him all day and never get bored (and neither would he!). Pierre has a “je ne sais quoi” about him that draws you in. He is sweet, gentle and overall easygoing and loves to spend time with others. He has excellent leash manners and is equally as comfortable and polite off the leash in settings such as playgroups. He is an avid mingler with other dogs and always kindly introduces himself, but most of the time he can be found getting pets from his humans (yes, even after you’ve given him many before!). He has done well meeting small dogs. Pierre is brushing up on all things “Dog 101” with his basic commands, and he can’t wait to charm you with the brains equal to his beauty. Pierre arrived at the rescue with his equally wonderful sister Babette, and they are available as an optional pair. Pierre won’t be here long, so come meet him ASAP! Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.

Milo is a 2 year old male. He is not neutered. He is super energetic, he loves to run and play ball. He deserves a loving family that can take care of him and needs lot of time. He does not get along with cats but is super friendly with humans. He doesn’t like other dogs and he barks but when on walks, we have trained him to not bark or approach other dogs. He loves to eat chicken and take naps in the shade. He loves playing with water. He is a pure bred German shepherd and he does shed. We are looking for someone who will give lots of attention to him, take him on walks, cuddle with him, and provide for him like the good boy he is.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED ASAP! Milo was overlooked at the shelter, even though he was friendly to everyone he met. The staff loved him and always had a great time when they took him out to play. Milo has a very interesting look, and that might be why he was passed over. He has a brindle body, almost with tiger stripes, and a black face. We think he's handsome! Milo began to shut down and get very depressed as he waited for someone to adopt him. He just wanted someone to love. Unfortunately, his time ran out, and he was scheduled to be euthanized. We were able to have a volunteer save him within an hour of being killed. Many other big dogs were killed that day, but Milo made it out! Imagine almost dying just because you look a little different. Milo is a healthy 1 year old Shepherd mix. He’s house trained and loves to cuddle. Milo is very well behaved, house trained and healthy. He walks nicely on a leash without pulling and is fine meeting other dogs on a walk. He's microchipped, fully vaccinated, and will be neutered. Milo is a smart dog, very obedient and will easily fit into your household. He would do best as an only dog in a home with someone who has had large breed dogs before. Milo is fully grown at 60 lbs, which is smaller than a Golden Retriever or Lab. I ended up at the scary pound along with my siblings, we were dumped by uncaring people who bred our Mama and when they couldn't sell us they dumped us like trash. 😡😡 Somehow we hit the jackpot because this rescue got us all out, to a vet and then off to foster homes-yay! 🍀 I'm a 10 week old female Pit/Shepherd/Husky mix and I am great with other dogs, cats and kids too! I can be a little shy at first but once I know you are a kind person I warm up quickly and will plop into your lap and give you nonstop kisses 💋💋💋 I'm also already house and crate trained, I'm super affectionate and I love me some belly rubs!
