Pierre von Baar is a gorgeous, 16 month-old Belgian Tervuren mix (best guess). With Pierre’s beautiful furry coat, we could sit and pet him all day and never get bored (and neither would he!). Pierre has a “je ne sais quoi” about him that draws you in. He is sweet, gentle and overall easygoing and loves to spend time with others. He has excellent leash manners and is equally as comfortable and polite off the leash in settings such as playgroups. He is an avid mingler with other dogs and always kindly introduces himself, but most of the time he can be found getting pets from his humans (yes, even after you’ve given him many before!). He has done well meeting small dogs. Pierre is brushing up on all things “Dog 101” with his basic commands, and he can’t wait to charm you with the brains equal to his beauty. Pierre arrived at the rescue with his equally wonderful sister Babette, and they are available as an optional pair. Pierre won’t be here long, so come meet him ASAP! FOSTER/ADOPT STRONGHEART *courtesy post for the amazing staff who saved his life This 5 year old baby is a victim of abuse He was dropped off at Ohana veterinary clinic to be euthanized by his “owners”.  It was all admitted to the vet that the husband of the household was an abusive alcoholic and would come home and act aggressive toward him and the wife. He would kick this sweet boy repeatedly. The wife said that when her husband would beat her, Strongheart would try to protect her…leading to him getting the brunt of the husband’s rage.  Anytime the husband would go near him, he would kick him. She admitted all of this at the vet.  The husband insisted on having her bring him in to be euthanized but the staff over at Ohana refused to do so and instead they had the owners sign over rights to them. There’s no way this boy’s story can end here.  Humans who were supposed to protect and love him did the opposite.  This is what the staff at Ohana say about him“He’s the best boy in the world! Super obedient, loves walks, and affection. However, he’s had so much built up anxiety being in the cage and isn’t doing well in there. He started chewing on himself, constant crying, and is losing weight from depression.But can you blame him? He’s wondering why he’s in a cage now.” Let’s please find this boy a home or a foster immediately   ##1616169##

  Her name is Luna, she’s fixed, up to date with all of her shots, and is around 3-4 years old. Beginning of last year, some heartless person dumped her and her 9 newborn puppies in the freezing cold in Riverside. Thankfully, someone found her and I took her and her puppies in. After 3 months, I found all of the puppies amazing homes.  Luna is the most loving dog with people. She’s super independent when she’s home alone, she’s potty trained, very food motivated, loves giving kisses, and the majority of the time she’s keeping guard by the front door like the photo below. When Luna came to me, she was so skinny, her ribs were sticking out which is why I chose to foster her for a while to get her back to a healthy weight and to make sure she felt safe. I have fallen in love with her. It breaks my heart knowing I can’t keep her but unfortunately, she doesn’t get along with other dogs. I have a dog and cat that I’ve had to keep her separated from.  Please help me find the best home for her. I also Included some photos with her and her puppies because she was such a good Mama! ##1755241##
